LaRosa's Pizza Oxford — Restaurant in Oxford Township

I wish I could share to reviews about this place. One would be a one star, and one would be a five-star. A few months ago me, my daughter, and a friend decided to go there. When we walked in the door, we saw the hostesses eyes bug out. We thought, as sometimes happens, it was a gigantic hand gun strapped to my friend's side. Nope. Apparently the object of the hostesses stare was my daughter, who muttered, "Well, isn't this awkward?" under her breath. She asked what type of seating arrangement we wanted, and I said table because I was on crutches. She told me that tables are only reserved for groups. I pointed out that I was on crutches and if I didn't get a table I couldn't dine there. Her answer was simply "okay", so we left. A week ago we tried to give it another go, we were greeted by a different Hostess who was super sweet, seated immediately, at a table, and had the most fantastic service we've had in a very long time. I asked if the hostess that had weirded us out and still there, apparently she is, and apparently they plan to keep her as a hostess. I pointed out that people who are socially awkward are very well utilized in positions that don't involve making them uncomfortable by dealing with the public. Will give it a try again sometime, hoping for that 5-star experience again. If you go there, get the spinach calzone. Tell him I sent you. They'll have no idea who...

We attended a birthday party(Harry Potter themed) here over the weekend !!! The room was large and perfect for a medium-sized kids party !!! The mom seemed to have the freedom to decorate and have crafts and games for the kids!!! There was a bunch of tables set up, and she put them together for all the girls to sit around one giant table !!! Then, about 4 to 6 booths for the parents. Also, a worthy mention, there was a fountain hose near a sink that you could get water ,coke sprite ect. No need for pitchers or individual ordering of soda. I had asked what she had to pay to use this room, and she said she just booked it and you order food!!! Definitely seems worth it !!!! Large room for a party and then pay for your food !!! The food was great, it always is !!! My daughter loves spaghetti and meatballs!! I love the Jojo salad and pizza, of course !!! This location was clean , large, full of smiling faces. This visit we ordered outside of the birthday party's food order . It was quick we went to the front counter orderd our food and they brought it to us really quickly!! We had a great experience!! All the waitresses we encountered were friendly and helpful !!! Way to go to LaRosas for a fun filled day !!! We will continue to keep coming back !!! I have to say that in the 5-1/2 years I've lived here in Oxford I've only ordered from LaRosa's a handful of times and that's because I like to keep this restaurant as my indulgement place it's one of the only restaurants who deliver directly to my door, their drivers are constantly being charged with energy, big smiles,approachable, non-threatening always in a good mood and the food is just as good if not better. I've not had one order messed up or fouled up, if there is anything missing it's just 1 phone call away to get it fixed. LaRosa's is one of the best ran restaurants I've seen in town they run like a well oiled machine and they do it in a very casual, laid-back always at ease professional attitude I mean there's nothing that I can say or think of that would be in the negative I really can't and being in the culinary arts as professional executive chef at the Pink Flamingo down at the waterfront in Kentucky many years ago this place has really great food and even better employees if you want to see happy employees and a local business that goes the extra mile for their customers and for their employees just order...
