RedLife Coffee at the Alexander House — Restaurant in Oxford Township

This place has huge potential, and we do love it. Coffee is great (they need more size options; for what they charge, you can't give people the small size forever.) Atmosphere is 10/10 and the customer service is always top-notch. HOWEVER, the inconsistency in hours and not having main staples like cold brew is really hurting their reputation. My wife works from home and manages two small kids while doing so...coffee is a must, and she loves this place. First, they started closing M-W when the students left for summer. Totally get it. Staffing is scarce so that does not bother us. Then, unannounced closings and still allowing orders to be placed during off hours for us to show up to a closed building after having paid. This has happened multiple times. Consistently out of cold brew by 9-10:00 am on the days they are open. Again, we love the people and the atmosphere, but it's become a gamble as to whether or not they're open or have...

Really expected something special out of this place and it's just "run of the mill" they are only open wed-sat. The crepe I got was pretty good but the selection being so limited is a major turn off. I waited 45 minutes for a scone, muffin and a toasted marshmallow drink. Yes. They were busy. But 45 minutes is excessive. The muffin was dry and had no flavor. The scone was really good, good flavor. The coffee drink was terrible. Zero marshmallow flavor. I was very disappointed with the drink. The drinks are too expensive to have no flavor.
