I've never been to a Waffle House before, despite always kind of wanting to see what they were like. I think it's going to be hard to beat this one.
Waffle House, to my understanding, is very Southern in its vibe, and I certainly felt it with the hostess's hospitality. This is a chain, I know, and it's new. It'll get dirtier over time, as all things do, but the place was perfectly clean and actually extremely pleasant to just hang out inside.
The staff felt friendly on a level that wasn't just professional, but genuine. They didn't seem miserable or upset at having to work, and were carrying on conversations with eachother about relationships and such. My waitress/hostess was very kind to me and checked in multiple times.
The food itself was good. It wasn't an unbelievable 5 star dining experience, but in terms of Waffle House food, this place has to be top of the line. Tasty home-style cooking, with shockingly low prices, given how expensive everything is now.
I might not stop in here a ton - I more prefer Mexican or Asian dishes for lunch and don't really eat breakfast most days, but if you want a pure plate of lovely American breakfast foods and a nice hot coffee, I absolutely recommend...
Read moreI really had high hopes. Was excited to eat being it just opened. Extremely disappointed my husband had to get the waiter three times. The first time he served me a coke with zero syrup we overheard a lady say they changed it and it should be better he didn't offer to replace my drink even though you could tell the color was off. So my husband had to get his attention to replace that. He, me, and our daughter ordered. He got the all star meal we finish the waiter didn't return but once to ask how things were I look over and his waffle to our meal was sitting. The staff member clearly saw it and decided to stand there and let it get cold instead of getting it to the customer who purchased it. My husband didn't receive it until we went to check out and asked for the waffle he paid for he didn't receive still resting on the counter. The supervisor was a sweet woman but by then they lost our business. My husband left the boy a tip even tho it was probably the worst customer service we had in a long time. They are closing at 2 pm I guess due to the short staff but they were rude to people still coming in and it made the environment...
Read moreTo start my review the workers are beyond down to earth friendly! They were very communicative and just happy to be there! I loved Waffle House growing up. Went many times and that carried on through my teens till now. my waffle was fluffy. Way too fluffy and undercooked. Orange juice isn’t served in a cup anymore! It’s just the plastic bottle and it’s $3 dollars. Huge disappointment. Ham was great, sausage was undercooked and too watery. Eggs were delicious though if you do not like runny eggs asked them to be cooked more (50 cent upcharge Trumpflation). Toast was good too. Now to the big picture. I hate to blame this particular location but why am I paying over $30 for 2 people at Waffle House? Prices go up way too frequently. Definitely do not come here if ur looking for a cheap breakfast. Otherwise Waffle House is...
