The experience I had at this location today has been weighing on me all day. This is my hometown Starbucks and usually they are reliable, quick, and though busy, friendly. I placed a mobile in store pickup order for a venti iced brown sugar with sweet cream as the milk and a bacon and Gouda sandwich. I placed my order around 8:05 and it was being prepared by 8:11 with a notice of 8-11 minutes until my drink and sandwich could be ready. I got to the location and parked, waiting in my car until the app said it was ready. Once it did I went inside and did not see my coffee, just the sandwich. I noticed the sandwich seemed a little soggy but sat down to wait patiently for my drink. I sat there for at least 5-10 minutes while two guys behind the counter talked and laughed. A girl walked in after I continued to wait, noticed her drink was not ready, and was then acknowledged by the gentleman who asked her name and proceeded to pull her order sticker off the espresso machine (next to mine and one other untouched) and then proceeded to make her drink. I then decided to stand up to be acknowledged as well and finally was. When he handed me my drink it was less than full and less than any Starbucks has ever given me. Idk if he was having a bad day or just didn’t like me wanting my beverage but it also felt like he had a little disdain for me. It was an uncomfortable experience and doesn’t make much sense to have an online in store pickup option when they won’t make your drink until you’re there and tell them your name anyway. I did not get back to my car to leave until 8:30 and was not comfortable saying something to these guys in the store about my drink. Very unprofessional and...
Read moreI have been waiting for 50 minutes (and counting) for a hot chocolate. In my life, I haven’t seen this level of mediocrity. (10 minutes after…) After 60 minutes I had it. I went to the counter and asked to speak with the store manager. I am 51 years old, university lecturer, very polite, but firm when I have to be, and this was unacceptable. The young workers panic. They told me she wasn’t there… or on the phone… I had the hot chocolate within 2 minutes. With my teacher’s voice, I said for everyone to hear that 60 minutes for a hot chocolate is not acceptable here, in Oklahoma, in Idaho or in China; what a display of incompetence. The worst of this mess is how they treated me (with indifference) for this hour. Every ten minutes I asked politely. I believe I would have spent another hour here if didn’t decide to be firm with them. The moral of the story is to avoid this place during rush hours, they don’t have an idea of what they are doing, believe me. In around 4 or 5 years, I have written reviews in Mexico, USA, Austria, and Hungary. This is the first bad review I share with the public. It was the worst Café experience of my...
Read moreI give this place the lowest possible score because 0 Stars is not an option. I am from Columbus, but I have lived in Oxford for 1 year now. I lived in Tupelo for 5 years before my move to Oxford. I’ve traveled all over. I’ve never seen a worse coffee shop, especially Starbucks, than this one. It’s the most mis Managed facility I have ever seen. The drinks are never right, even simple by the book drinks somehow get made wrong. The wait time is 30-45 minutes. The very least amount of time I’ve waited was 17 minutes and I was literally the only car in the drive thru. No matter the time of day or night. It’s a train wreck. Going inside changes nothing. I once ordered 2 Venti Peppermint Mochas. I then watched 5 customers after me get their orders, then I got ONE of mine, and 3 others get THEIR orders, and finally after all that, and asking 3 people I got my other one. How the world is that possible? This place needs an entirely new Manager and they need to go train by watching the Tupelo Barnes Crossing store. THAT is the best store. You never wait more than 5 minutes at best no matter the customer volume. Never had to send...
