If you’re looking for a masterclass in how not to run a college bar, congratulations— The Library has you covered (and I don’t mean at the door). Between the steep cover charge and drinks that taste like regret, the real headline here is the astonishing absence of basic security. My friend’s fiancée went out to unwind after finals and instead learned that “security check” apparently means a polite nod while anyone waltzes in with whatever they please. She ended up drugged—saved only because her friends noticed the danger faster than the staff ever did.
The bartenders? Busy upselling watered-down cocktails. The bouncers? Seemingly auditioning for decorative statues. Management? Judging by the growing list of similar incidents, blissfully asleep at the wheel. It takes a special kind of negligence to turn a night out into a safety briefing, yet here we are. Until The Library decides that protecting patrons is more important than padding profits, consider studying elsewhere for your evening...
Read moreHad a terrible experience here. I politely asked the waitress why we had waited 30 minutes for our food. She left and didn't return for about 15 minutes. Upon returning, I asked again. She said "Oh I forgot. Let me check on it." The manager comes back accusing me of cursing out his waitress. And I denied and he got angry, especially after my wife also said nothing of the sort happened. Fortunately, the people sitting next to us at the bar confirmed our end of the story. To top it off, they tried to charge me for additional items when they brought the check, which took them an additional 15 minutes to correct. Overall, it was objectively the worst experience I have every had from a place to serve customers. It's a bar, so I expect some customers to be belligerent, but I was not expecting the entire staff to behave so unprofessionally. Save your money and...
Read moreMy parents came into town for a visit and my dad decided to go into this establishment for a drink. Upon entering, the bartender working refused him service because “he had just been seen throwing up on the street”. Mind you, my family and I had just gotten out of the car before he walked into the bar, and it was 11 am. Not only did the bartender refuse service, but also asked my dad to leave. Obviously the bartender was mistaken. I found this interaction extremely rude and I hope in the future the staff of this bar checks their facts before refusing service and kicking people out of the bar. Needless to say, my parents nor I will go to this...
