Crumbl — Restaurant in Oxnard

Went on their soft opening day around noon. Small line, took about 15 minutes. Not too bad considering the absolutely insane hype this chain has been getting. Everyone working here was really nice. Ordering was a breeze. Cookies were nice and fresh too - and they better be for the price.

I’m not going to give a lower rating on the cookie flavor since it changes weekly as a hook to get you to come back - I likely won’t. They’re just… ok. They’re a bit oily and way too sweet. It’s not an issue with this being a new location as I’ve heard it’s the case everywhere. They list the calories as per service which you’d think is a cookie but it’s actually a quarter cookie. This is a bit scummy IMO but not the fault of the individual location. I honestly think they’re way over priced, some more than others. The cookies just don’t hold together very well. Honestly the cookies from Costco taste just as good for a fraction.

But you’re paying for the hype and I suspect anyone going here knows that and doesn’t care about anything other than getting an instagram in.

The lime cookie was my favorite though. That was worth it.

Update: Second time back and they somehow sold out of basically everything in the time we ordered in person to the time it was ready to pick up. Wasn't offered a refund on a 6pk only duplicate cookies, because that's...

First of All... Don't listen to these negative nancies complaining. These are actually really really good cookies and I am a very healthy eater. These are actually the only cookies I can eat because I have a very sensitive palate and I can literally taste the preservatives in store bought cookies and smell the yeast in them. These cookies are fresh and the people serving them on opening day offered me a refund on one of the cookies because they were out but I chose to wait and come back for the flavor. Opening day guys give them a break. VERY GOOD job guys so far service has been nothing but good and our entire family which is pretty big loves you guys. No it's not just for instagram cuz I'm not all about that either. I think some people just don't like the idea of Hype and that's okay cuz people felt the same about IN N Out but look at them. I was a frequent customer at this location, but the customer service has gone downhill. It seems like a high school environment, where as you go in and interrupt their conversations to make a purchase, they are bothered. Surprise surprise, my tres, Leche cake was raw I am familiar with the dessert and it does come Moen and have condensation, but this was very wrong under bake I took a picture of the cake so you could see the center of it and they asked me a day later to take it back for a refund or replacement. I find this insulting the”Evelyn” was rude and condescending no apologies and had no interest to help me over the phone I even offered to go in store show my purchase history and my picture to justify this. I don’t need a five dollar replacement. It’s just about getting what I paid for....
