Read moreMy boyfriend and I did a day fishing trip May 4th down at Juno Beach Pier and decided to have dinner around 4:30pm before we drove 2 hours and went back home. We chose to go to dinner at Miller's Ale House where we have eaten before. We wanted to have something different being we don't have this restaurant near where we live. Sadly we should of saved our money because this was a very upsetting experience. First, we walked in and the restaurant was pretty dead. Everyone was standing around and cutting up. We got sat at a booth fast and ordered drinks fast (Sweet Tea and a Water with Lemon) then went to the bathroom to clean up from the fishing trip. Came back out within a few minutes and the menus are gone and the table was bussed. Simple mistake, it was only drinks. No problem. She probably couldn't hear us talk to her because the house music was blaring so loud, but no sound was on for the sports on the TVs. Which I know it is a "Sports Bar" I felt like we were at a AC/DC concert instead of a sit down dinner where I couldn't even hear or talk to my boyfriend sitting right next to me without screaming. We both got a French Onion Soup and it came out really fast. The cheese was all melted and looked amazing on top, but the broth was stone cold. I was so hungry. I just really needed to eat something. My boyfriend got a Cheeseburger and it was very bland, charred and swimming in grease. He picked it up and it was just soggy and was raining grease over everything. This poor Cow, we tried it and it tasted disgusting! Reminded me of Burger King...look, smell and taste. Uhg. We both absolutely despise Burger King! He took 2 bites and I ate 1. We couldn't find our waitress for a while and from eating the 1 bite and just smelling the nasty burger made us both loose our appetites very quick. I got a Extra Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich which was okay. Very oily and lacked all the flavor besides a fishy after taste. I couldn't use enough lemons to doctor it up. You could definitely tell it's frozen fish. Which I wouldn't expect anything more then that from this restaurant chain, but thought I'd take a shot and try anyway. I took 2 bites of my sandwich and I was done. Not appetizing at all. Both of our sides of Fries were beyond DEAD! Old, cold and hard. Just inedible. Sad. The Onion Rings were the best out of everything and and basically the only thing we actually ate at the restaurant beside cold soup. Feeling that our waitress forgot about us, we eventually seen her after a while and flagged her down to tell her about the Cheeseburger. She asked my boyfriend if he wanted anything else or to replace it with another entree, but we just really wanted to leave at that point. I thought a Manager would have came out to make a table visit to apologize about this experience, but no. They just comped off the burger and the waitress gave us a Captain Jack's Ice Cream Cake Slice to eat there at the table. But we didn't even eat our food we ordered for dinner. They put it in a ToGo box which we appreciate, but I am lactose intolerant lol we took it with us anyway on our 2 hour drive back home. Which was definitely melted when we did arrive back to our home. The Kitchen just can't be knowingly sending out food that they wouldn't even eat themselves . Have some pride in your food that you're cooking/preparing and serving. Pitifully the table behind us wasn't having a good experience with their food either. Servers need to be more attentive towards guest. When the food runners bring the food out and not finding our waitress after 20 minutes. Then her to finally come back to the table and find out there was an issue with the meal. Obviously this restaurant is not a team and does not communicate with each other. Thank you for trying to fix the unfortunate circumstances with the all around service surrounding our experience. Sadly still out of $50 plus tip for a unappetizing, unattentive, greasy, cold, loud meal that we really didn't...
My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 6:30pm. The bar is busy, nearly fully seated, but there were plenty of available tables. We were greeted by friendly faces and were immediately seated at a booth. Our waitress Maddie wasted no time in taking our drink order, and returned within five minutes to bring our drinks and to take the rest of our order.
I ordered the 6oz filet mignon with a vegetable medley and a side of kettle chips. My boyfriend ordered the 6oz sirloin and shrimp with a vegetable medley and a baked potato. After 25 minutes, our food arrives, but our plates are incomplete. I am missing my vegetables, and my boyfriend’s plate had 8 shrimp rather than the 12 that he was supposed to receive. I received the rest of my meal ten minutes later after asking another waitress.
A server took my boyfriend’s vegetable medley away without asking or acknowledging us at all, and he was not finished eating it. We were checked up on by Maddie after 50 minutes to take away our plates. (I suppose the attentive service I’ve heard of for Miller’s is reserved for patrons over 30. It has been a commonality for my boyfriend and I to be overlooked by servers due to our being in our early twenties, and looking even younger.) We then ordered the Ghirardelli chocolate brownie sundae for dessert, which took 15 minutes to arrive.
As for the taste of the food, Miller’s strong point is their proteins. The filet mignon and sirloin were cooked just right. They were juicy, well-seasoned, and tender. It was delicious! Their Zingers are, of course, another dish that deserves its praise. Yet, that is where the good news ends. Unfortunately the vegetable medley was undercooked for me and overcooked for my boyfriend, who received zucchini mush. They could do with a bit of seasoning as well. My kettle chips were inconsistent. Some were raw, some burnt, and there was no flavor to speak of. I will not be ordering them again. My boyfriend’s baked potato was slightly underdone, but he did enjoy it nevertheless. His shrimp were quite flavorless. Overall, seasoning is something Miller’s can use more of.
The dessert, we hoped, would redeem the meal. It did not. Half of the brownie was at room temperature while the other half was the hot brownie we hoped for. Sadly, the whole brownie was dry, only aided by the ice cream which did its best to rehydrate the brownie and make it palatable. Now, the large portion for the price is pretty good, so if you’re looking to please the kiddos and have more to spare, this isn’t a bad choice. I will not be having this dessert again, however.
Was my experience representative of what to expect from an average Miller’s visit, or was this a rare blunder? I will be returning to this location to find out.
P.S. There was a few price discrepancies between the main menu dessert items and the dessert and drink booklet. For example, the brownie was $7.99 in the booklet, but $8.99 in the menu. Nothing major, but something to...
Read moreHorrible establishment!! Waited for several several minutes to pick up my to go order. When first entering Miller's Ale House a young lady ( server ) actually look directly at me /eye contact turned her head and continued to talk with another employee! So i stood at the to go pick up area/ counter waiting for an employee to assist me! Several minutes went by employees continue to ignore the fact that I have been standing there for quite some time ! So I call the restaurant thinking maybe they would hear the phone ring up front and see me! Welp that didn't work because instead of walking to the front the employee pick up the phone in the back area where I could clearly see him once he noticed me holding my phone to my ear and the bartender hearing the phone ring. That's when the employees finally alerted the to go person that it was a customer at the front! The reason im making a big deal about this encounter is because im African American (female )and alllll the employees except for the to go person ( African American male) were Caucasians! This has happened before at this same Restaurant it sadly me deeply because i know for a fact that I was discriminated against for the second time! This is so unprofessional of a huge restaurant chain to act as such! It's 2025 and racism still exist! Unfortunately ive noticed this type of unacceptable behavior at different establishment throughout Palm Beach Gardens and the Jupiter area! When will it stop! At least the African American To Go Person apologize several times for the other staff behavior! I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS MILLER'S ALE HOUSE OR ANY OTHERS! I WILL NOTIFY MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF THIS...
