Staff couldnât have cared less about us and I brought a family member here for a birthday breakfastâŚthey basically ignored us the entire time. I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich, couldnât even finish it because the chicken was a thin piece that was dry and cooked so long it literally had no juice in itâŚavocados were falling out with every bite. As the server takes it away she asks if I need a box twice because she was in disbelief that their food wasnât edibleâŚalso didnât bother to ask if everything tasted okay, clearly it didnât. I would have ordered the burger but it came with nothing on it, if you want to add cheese, avo, or baconâŚ$3 each on top of $16 for a burger and friesâŚgive me a breakâŚwe ordered the bacon flight which was flavorful but should be far from âfamousââŚitâs literally bacon thatâs just seasoned to different flavors, itâs not slow cooked in anything or marinated by any meansâŚno idea why this is famousâŚthe atmosphere is crowded and loudâŚthey also make you enter the tip in a digital card reader and stand there waiting for you to add it and signâŚnot sure when that became a thing but not ideal for any kind of comfortâŚall in all this seemed like a trendy trap that has great social media marketing with subpar service and foodâŚno wonder the menu changes weekly, avoiding accountability much? Honestly youâre better off going anywhere else for breakfast/lunch...
Read moreVery meh, bordering on bad, all around.
Good: corn pancakes were pretty bomb, so were the cheesy eggs. if you get seated on the patio, I guess the ambiance might be nice. We werenât asked and were disappointed to sit inside. prices were reasonable for PS⌠except for everything was slightly more expensive than the website says, just an FYI.
Bad: most of the food was okay at best. Just regular olâ diner food⌠but not carefully prepared. the biscuits, sausage, and hashbrowns all came out on the border between lukewarm and cold. Pretty obvious that that stuff just kinda chills in the kitchen until someone orders it. service was very subpar. We didnât find out one of our dishes wasnât in stock until the other arrived. Coffee got refilled only after I flagged down a waitress. Lots of staff⌠but all of them doing one thing at a time and not helping each other, which is frustrating when three waitresses pass your table but your coffee cup stays empty. the coffee was okay at best⌠which is strange considering they use Equator, which is known for good coffee. Donât really know how you fudge that part up.
All in all, wouldnât come back here and wouldnât recommend it.
Edit: tacked on another star since the GM was so quick to reach out and digest the feedback. Looks like they are trying to iron...
Read moreLast time I went it was another restaurant...The waitress told us at 845 am there would be a 20 minute wait for inside table..we opted to sit at the counter on hard metal stools that bumped my knee into the counter . As soon as we sat 4 tables inside got up and left. The two next to us eating at counter were obviously doing work on the place as they had sketch book and notebook. There was a black man not in a Cheekys outfit but talking to these 2 and going behind the counter and helping himself to product. Finally a waitress took our order and we squirmed on our stools and waited. Meanwhile a large table was put together for a group that now our waitresses was devoted to her new guests. The meal came by someone..the bacon flight was skinny and overcooked.the bacon was thin almost burnt and tasted nothing like the luscious planks of bacon we used to get . The jam that came with toast was barely a teaspoon..but I flagged some guy down and got some more. I've endured pushy guests who tried to write their name in between those who are already on the wait-list... I've never complained about eggshells or hair..both of which I've found in the past.. screaming babies and everyone's dog who lick on my leg...Good Bye Cheekys...You were once a great...
