“My recent stay at the Canyon Club Hotle all male resort clothing optional was underwhelming and did not meet my expectations. The maze-like layout requires improvement, the room needs updating, and the morning front desk staff was unprofessional and unpleasant. While the evening staff was more accommodating, their support was limited and not available late into the night. The checkout process was particularly disappointing. I was informed there were no late checkouts available, which caused significant inconvenience, as my flight was less than an hour after the standard checkout time. Had I known this policy in advance, I would have chosen a different hotel. Overall, my experience was subpar, and I would not recommend this establishment without significant changes.” Next will be going to CCBC D Nash

We checked in on March 11-2024, tried to speak to management about how our room was. We didn’t speak to him until March 15-2024. The employees have a lack of respect for guest. The manager Jeff was not sympathetic to knowing the room was tear up. I told him that on the website it’s advertised as a beautiful room. His response was that he had taken over 7 weeks ago, and that it would take a year to get the rooms renovated. He said you can either check out or I can give you 20$ a day off. I will report to the health department the room is 221! DON’T stay here! We didn’t leave just because there wasn’t bedbugs or roaches, but after the conversation with supposed to be manager we decided to take the 4 hour drive back to Vegas. Worse clothing optional place! I wouldn’t stay here again until it’s updated!

Staff were friendly and efficient, the pool and jacuzzi were great, and the location is super convenient! That said, CC is VERY run down. Sauna and steam room were closed, front door card reader broken, garden statuary toppled, and paint peeling in many places. Bed linen, towels, and shower curtain seemed clean but were stained and worn. The furniture and carpet were also beaten up. Something was splattered on the ceiling. The bathroom was clean and had HOT water and good pressure, but the bath tub – the bath tub! – had once been painted and is now peeling and rusty. I considered leaving but had prepaid so stayed. Not again.

GROSS! Not a good place to stay. Their website doesn't reflect an accurate view of accommodations at all. I've jotted down a complete list of inadequacies. We had to pay in advance for our week stay, and our concerns were dismissed the entire time of our stay.

Hotel: Canyon Club Hotel

Location: 960 N. Palm Canyon Drive Palm Springs, CA

Unit reserved: Master Suite (110)/Deluxe Double (115)

Reserved for 7-days. Master Suite for 6-days, had to change to a Deluxe Double for day 7 due to overbooking.

Pros: Suite 110 - • Bed is comfortable • Full kitchen which is great for extended stays • Large shower • Central heat and air worked great • Hot and Cold water was instant

Suite 115 - • Beds are comfortable • All tile floors, no dingy/dirty or worn out carpet • Slightly further away from entry/exit and hot tub so will hopefully get a better night sleep (last night here)

Cons: #1 - The photos on the website DO NOT reflect what the rooms actually look like. Staff explained the beds in the master suites were replaced with standard beds because the ones in the photos were falling apart • The odor exuding from the room upon arrival was horrible. There are no words to describe it. We bought a couple candles and Febreze odor reducer to help with that • Carpet stains throughout • Carpet is very worn into (did not walk on it barefoot) • Linens (towels and bed) have stains • Bathroom floors are extremely dingy. Grout between tiles is breaking and coming up between the tiles. Bathroom walls are dingy and looked as though there is a slight chance of mold near the floor surrounding the bathroom • Master Suite 110 is directly in front of the hot tub and near the back entry/exit door. Others in the hot tub would be loud during the very late hours of the evening/early morning so I couldn't really sleep well. The entry/exit door kept slamming shut whenever anyone would come and go cause even more sleepless nights • The paper towels for the suite were never replenished by housekeeping until we asked. • The worst though, were that we discovered two cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen. When asking the front desk to take care of the issue we were sent a can of Raid to spray for roaches ourselves. Seriously?! • Linens (towels) were never replenished as a full set (bath, hand, and wash), nor were the pool towels • Room 115 had no hot water what-so-ever. Staff explained it was because all units in the building of this room share one hot water heater, and the pipes are not insulated • Room 115 has a gap in the bathroom window between glass and frame causing cold air to enter the room • Room 115 light switches at entry do not work for anything. Thought one would control the front table light since I couldn't get it to light up. The bulb wasn't out, the switches didn't do anything, the power outlet was fine, so that leads me to believe the light fixture itself no longer works • Room 115 has a mini-fridge which is very loud. Hoping it won't be a problem for sleeping • Continental breakfast? No way. Only once did I see a couple yogurts available and dry cereal. Milk and O.J. in the fridge if desired. Coffee is available as well. Don't expect anything more though

Additional comments: During our stay we left for a couple days to spend time with family nearby. When we returned there was a typed note on our door from a front desk agent. It was not dated, we did not receive a phone call either, stating the hotel could not accommodate us for our reserved 7th day and that we'd have to leave a day early. When asked why, we were told the ceiling of the kitchen and bathroom had caved in. Luckily, we were able to obtain another...

Where do I start-- BEWARE !

Reservations-be careful, as we have booked two rooms here, paid for 2 deposits, received 2 confirmation emails and when arriving, was told that only 1 went through and that we were left high and dry without 1 room....

The only maintenance person left for a week while we were here, there was no maintenance done to the pool or hot tub, resulting in beer bottles, branches (not leaves or sticks-but tree limbs!) creating new dirty floor in the pool-not to mention the sheer volume of cigarette butts thrown throughout the entire place. I do not smoke, but my clothes certainly smell of it daily!

The property itself has become a homeless haven in the evenings. The staff leave at 10:00 pm (which used to be until 4:00 am-but due to staff quitting due to alleged compensation disputes, no one has filled the evening shifts). The homeless guys sleep in the darkroom, the outdoor maze, the lounge chairs and in the saunas, making it very uncomfortable and a safety issue-you never know who might come to your door in the night not to mention, some one who has a strong intent or would lean towards being a thief or prey on anyone who may look for attention-at any age! I have had several things go missing, small in nature, but still-from a pill container, contact lenses, sandals, shoes, shirts and of course, swimwear.

We had an intruder break into our unit (108) in which we notified the staff, nothing was done, sent an email to the owners, nothing was done. It is absolutely absurd the lack of customer centric attention, lack of safety and disregard for hotel guests comfort.

The Continental breakfast-it started with day old english muffins, yogurts and no-name cereals and now we are down to day-old no-name bagels, butter if lucky, no-name cereals with milk being rationed. I have subsequently gone to purchase my own breakfasts as I feel so awkward eating there and if I am taking too much-believe me, I am 170 lbs 6'2", 32 year old gay male-I do not over eat EVER!

The Darkroom is a bacterial incubator-I have yet to see if cleaner, it has a stench of feces that permeates to the ice machine--so gross! The vending machines never work and when they do, you always have to put in $2 for a $1 product....good scam!

The Internet is poor at best, I have uploaded the speeds picture and when I spoke to the office about this, their response was "Only 1 device per room". Not sure about you, but I have a laptop, ipad, phone and an e-reader, same with my partner-which having multiple devices is not uncommon!

Such a joke of a place to stay from this to many other things which I will be posting daily in the coming days to warn others of the operational scam the Canyon Club is. NEVER EVER stay here!

Please feel free to contact me if you wish to know about any of these experiences, I will continue to post more of the things that have occurred during our stay as I have time to do so. We should of known that at this price point, you get what you pay for and by far, anything that we saved, we have easily lost in property, time and personal safety/security. If you have read this and still venture to stay here-you have been warned thats all...

My partner in Switzerland made a reservation, paid in full over the phone with his credit card for two days a couple of weeks ago for me to stay while working on getting my property liquidated for my move to the EU. They accepted the reservation, checked me in and everything went as planned and expected. After adding a third day to my stay i asked for the 4th day free deal they offer and got a fourth day no problem. My partner who made and paid for the reservation was in Switzerland the entire time. After having a great stay I decided to have another two nights booked for me. But because the credit card holder wasnt present to do the check in they refused to honor the paid in advance reservation. Forced me to make another reservation that was paid for by a present card holder. They were given scans of id, card used, typed and e-sign verfied 3rd party authorization form plus a handwritten authorization form for payment and a selfie video from the cardholder giving the authorization. Still refused. After knowing that our first reservation was just waiting for the card holder to physically check in, we are told that the room quoted at a rate within my discussed budget wasnt reserved, wasnt available (already deducted and final on my card statement) and that our new forced reservation was going to be an extra $50 per night. Despite setting a precident just a week prior in regards to their so called policy and accepting payment in full from my partner and mysely via telephone they tell me that policy is policy, refuse to put me in touch with management and then refuse to honor the 4th night free deal stating the reservation for all three nights must be booked at the same time. I dont understand the inconsistent practices, policies and irrational disrespective attitudes of staff Tom and Tim. Been frequenting and recommending this estsblishment for six years without a hitch and they essentially took a huge, geriatric dump on my patronage towards...
