Antelope Valley Country Club — Restaurant in Palmdale

My son bought me a round for Father's Day. We arrived early to take advantage of the practice facilities. At the 1st tee, we were approached by a member named Justin. He asked if he could join us. He said he was only going to play 9 holes. We didn't mind and proceeded to tee off. Justin was an awesome guy. Around the 5th or 6th hole, we were approached by another member who went by the name of Hammer. The 4 of us continued on and as Justin mentioned at the 1st tee, he left after 9 holes. Hammer continued on with myself and my son. As soon as we teed off on 10, he started getting on me and my son. Telling us we didn't have good golf ediquite because we didn't park the cart in the correct location. When we got to the green, I took my pitch and putter and when I set my pitch down to putt, he got on me saying I didn't put it in the right spot and it was going to slow down the pace of play when i went back to get it after i putted. This member pretty much ruined the back 9 for us. All we wanted to do was have a nice outing for Father's day and this guy just randomly joins us and then proceeds to belittle us the last 9 holes of the course. Although it was a beautiful course, great price, and most others were friendly, (reason why i gave 4 stars) we are still debating whether or not we want to return due to...

Karen and Jose were very accommodating. Jose was a breath of fresh air. I planned my wedding and both of them communicated well with me and made my day special. Jose would offer suggestions and was there through it all. He was a very good coordinator of the actual event. I have a big family that flew in from Jamaica. We were able to bring in our dishes to satisfy the many different cultures that attended our wedding. The food together with the venue was phenomenal. It rained the day before and although we had planned an outdoor ceremony, Jose and Karen assured me that everything would still be beautiful on the patio. They did not disappoint. My outside vendors complimented AV Country Club's services, specifying they were the best venue they had ever worked with. The only issue was the bartender had miscommunicated with the guest that there was a cost and a few of my guests paid for their drinks. We informed our guests that it was an open bar. The practice facilities at the course are very nice. Large putting green and a very large chipping area.... The course is narrow and some holes are not that long considering we've played from the blues. The course is very dry and the fairways are dead. I had a hard time telling which way the fairways went being this was the first time I've played there. The greens were nice ...not fast or slow I'm assuming they spend most of their water on the greens because they definitely don't touch the fairways. I understand it used to be a private club and maybe back then it didn't matter but we tried to buy an alcoholic beverage from the cart person and we were told their license does not allow sales to people that are not a member of the club which doesn't make sense to me because it's no longer a private club. The staff was friendly in the restaurant and the clubhouse. I would not play there again if I had to pay the full amount again, unfortunately I didn't think it was worth it due to the fairways being...
