Checkers — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

In my 48 years of living , this is the first poor review I’ve ever left an establishment. But ..here goes . After purchasing 3 meals in the drive thru , we handed the clerk at the window my debit card . A few cents shy of $28.00 was the “damage “ (no problem tho …pretty typical ) With that said , one would think when paying $28 you would be allowed at least one sauce . I asked the EXTREMELY rude, unprofessional individual clearly in the wrong line of work with her attitude if I could have a honey mustard sauce, that in which she quickly denied . (Not without paying .75 cents ) I gladly would have if I had any cash on me , but I had already paid with my debit card . So I asked (in sincere tone ) if one sauce after purchasing 3 meals wouldn’t be justified ? She cut me off and responded that “we didn’t order a meal that required sauce “ (ridiculous) Taken back, I said “after spending $30 you’re going to make me swipe my debit card for .75 cents ? And you guessed it , in her condescending tone responding without hesitation “you will if you want a sauce “! Really ? We didn’t even get catchup for Pete sakes. Hey checkers, it’s not like you have lines of people knocking on your door for service. You need to teach your employees to treat your patrons a bit better. There are tons of alternate burger joints on this beach. We won’t be back. And your employees need some training if you plan to stay in business . If she managed to tick ME off… I can’t fathom the number of people she aggravates on a...

The first time I came to this checkers I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich... it was not even close to spicy and it was the equivalent of a mcchicken at McDonald’s ... tonight me and my boyfriend went here hoping to get some ice cream and got straight trolled. There was a sign saying no chocolate ice cream but when we asked for a banana milkshake the lady said they didn’t have any ice cream. So we ordered the Italian ice slushees. First of all... We ordered 2 Cherry Italian ice slushees. when we got it they both were red but tasted like sour lemons. It’s obvious they don’t clean out their slushee makers... there was no sign of cherry flavoring whatsoever. Secondly, they weren’t even blended well there were chunks of ice cubes in it. Also, I thought I should mention the fact that when we asked for the slushees the lady said they didn’t have cherry but then changed her mind and said they did and denied saying they didn’t have cherry and tried to correct us by saying she asked us what size we wanted. Another fact I should mention is that they only had one size available... she could have just asked if the regular size was alright with us in the first place instead of...

I am a lifelong local and have had trouble being able to order food anywhere as I ride a bicycle and most places are drive thru and/or online ordering only. McDonalds told me to wait for someone (a stranger during a viral pandemic), ask them to order for me and then wouldn't tell me if they were serving sweet tea or not. I went across the street to Checker's who had their lobby open for takeout orders only. They had everything set to follow the guidelines to ensure (to the best of their ability) that we customers/guests stay healthy and Covid-19 free. I was greeted like one would expect, given excellent service with hot, fresh food in great time, icy cold sweet tea that was perfect and a very clean restaurant. I have nothing negative to say at all about this Checker's location and with that being said, not only will I return in the future, I will also highly recommend to all and 5 stars...
