I recently revisited this BBQ spot with my husband (we ordered to-go), and while some parts of the meal were enjoyable, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
Let’s start with the food: the sides were the highlight—especially the fried okra, baked potato casserole, and fries. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and comforting. However, the ribs were a disappointment. They were tough and clearly needed more time to cook. For a place that specializes in barbecue, tender meat should be a standard. Especially ribs.
The biggest issue, though, was the handling of condiments. Between the two of us, we ordered a 3-meat plate and a 2-meat plate, yet we were each given a single, half-filled condiment cup of BBQ sauce. That’s simply not enough. When my husband tried to get additional sauce and napkins while picking up the order, the manager took the sauce back from him, saying there were some already in the bag.
My husband has dined here before and mentioned that this isn’t the first time he’s encountered stinginess when it comes to condiments at this restaurant. While the manager eventually corrected the issue after I brought it up, the fact that it happened at all is unacceptable. Customers deserve to receive enough sauce to enjoy their meal properly—especially with multiple meats—and should never feel like they’re asking for too much. I wouldn’t even mind paying extra for more sauce, but being made to feel like it’s an inconvenience is not good customer service.
This place has potential, but it’s hard to want to return when basic requests are met with resistance. Good food is only part of the dining experience—respectful, accommodating service matters...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this outstanding barbecue restaurant, and I must say it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted warmly by the owner, who proved to be an absolute gem.
The owner's attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm for his craft were truly remarkable. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable dining experience. One standout feature was that he allowed us to sample different types of meat before placing our order. It made a significant difference in our overall satisfaction with the meal.
The service throughout our visit was exceptional. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.
Now let's talk about the food itself. The portions were generous, leaving us absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. The meat was incredibly tender, bursting with rich flavors, and cooked to perfection.

Read moreI wish I could give more stars or write a review that would be seen by everyone, because this is my new favorite place. I will come back with my family and tell everyone I know to eat at this Dickey's! First, the service was fantastic. It was clear that the employees at this location care about the quality of their customer service and take the time to make sure you are happy with what you order. Second, the food was delicious. I ordered the Westerner, which can easily be two meals. The flavor was exactly what you hope for when you order barbecue and the bread tasted like it came straight from a bakery. Finally, while many establishments can have good food or good service, no one else has a Sal. The owner is one of those rare people who not only brightens your day, but leaves a lasting impact. Sal has a true passion for his business, his customers, and especially for those in need. In the back of the store near the drink station, you will see a sign that reads "If you are hard on cash, pay what you can and God will take care of the rest!" I have never seen an establishment go that extra mile for their community; and Sal backs up that statement with action.
If you like barbecue, go to Dickey's. You won't be disappointed. If you don't like barbecue, go to Dickey's anyway. You won't be...
