Dinner at Bugsy & Meyers
Sad to say that it was a very underwhelming experience.
Atmosphere is excellent in a well designed, modern dining room
Food quality and service lacking and missing the mark.
Caesar Salad was solid but plating missed the mark.
Filet mignon was overcooked and returned. It took 20 minutes to refire what was ordered as rare. Meat was tough and lacked flavor. Plating was simple and boring with a single, solitary pepper next to the filet. No effort was placed into it.
The mixed mushrooms were flavorful but with steak, I would have stuck to button caps and portobellos only.
Had asked for A1 for Kenny and was told it was $8. Noted the failure to actually explain these were house made sauces which was a failure on the server who clearly didn't know how to upsell or promote items on the menu.
By the time my steak had arrived along with the complimentary house traditional sauce due to the deal in my entree being served, Kenny had finished his meal, yes of course he enjoyed it, but Kenny is both difficult and easy. If it's gourmet, he's finicky, if it's low quality, he's all in.
I had to use the sauce to enhance and cover for what was missing. A filet at Outback was superior to what I was served.
Desert was supposed to be a vanilla creme Brulee which they were out of. We had a berry swirled cheesecake with a berry compote which was originally described as "cheesecake" by the server. It was a pleasant tasting slice, rich with flavor although knowing how my cousin Chef Sol makes cheesecake, this could have been straight from the frozen section of your local Costco.
Also had the chocolate cigar cake which was just overwhelming in the OD of excess chocolate.
The manager did come over and express his apologies for the refire of my meal but that's where it ended. Despite being told we had show tickets, nothing was done to expedite the prep of the meal, delivering of the deserts, or the check. Gave him feedback on the disappointments from the experience and while he was receptive, he didn't win us back despite my telling him that friends had well reviewed this place when it first opened.
I'd have a hard time returning to Bugsy & Siegels for these reasons. There are just too many options in Las Vegas to consider giving them a 2nd chance, especially since nothing was even offered to say, we value your business and would very much like another opportunity to show you what we...

Las Vegas, for all its glittering lights and culinary fanfare, still holds a few secrets close to the chest. And nestled behind the grand pink façade of the Flamingo lies one of the Strip’s most delightfully unassuming treasures: Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse.
Walking through the art-deco-inspired entrance feels like stepping into a bygone era of Vegas glamour—a speakeasy draped in velvet luxury and mobster mystique. But the real story here is what’s served on the plate—and let me tell you, it speaks volumes.
I began my evening with a classic Caesar salad, dressed with remarkable balance—creamy, sharp, and whispering of anchovy in a way only confident kitchens dare attempt. The bread service, often overlooked in lesser establishments, here deserves its own standing ovation: warm, crusty, and paired with butter so silky it should come with a warning label.
But it was the 16-ounce ribeye that stole the show. Perfectly marbled, flame-kissed to a medium-rare blush, and seasoned with the kind of restraint that tells you the chef trusts his meat—and rightly so. Each bite melted with buttery intensity, carrying both smoke and depth in equal measure.
To close, I indulged in a chocolate cake that was unapologetically decadent—layers of rich ganache and moist cake stacked with finesse, reminding me of why dessert should never be skipped, even when you’re full.
The service? Five-star worthy, without question. The staff was polished and warm—attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without pretension. It’s rare to feel both like a VIP and an old friend, yet that was the tone of the entire evening.
Now for the bold statement: Bugsy & Meyer’s outshines Gordon Ramsay’s namesake steakhouse and—dare I say—even edges past the legendary Golden Steer. Yes, I said it. This is not just a restaurant. It’s a revelation hiding in plain sight.
To the team at Bugsy & Meyer’s: Bravo. You’ve earned a loyal devotee. I’ll be back—not out of habit, but out of hunger...
Read moreWas very disappointed. Wagyu steak ($92) was tough and had no flavor. The butternut squash stuffed chicken was dry and the butternut squash was not stuffed in the chicken but on the side of the plate. We did try and eat without complaining but ended up asking to speak to the manager. The manager came to our table and once we told him our concers he told us he had gotten a couple other complants about the chicken being dry. He told us he would ask the chef to come speak to us. Was not impressed with how she handled it or how the manager handled it. The chef had one side of the plate picked up while looking at the chicken and after listening to our concerns she tossed the plate back and said, "I stuffed the chicken myself" she was willing to take the chicken off the bill but nothing else. So basicly she was saying we were lying about the chicken being stuffed. For the same price point as Hells Kitchen, go to Hells Kitchen, the food and service was 100% better than this place. The chef was unprofessional and wait staff should do better at expaining what some items are. Coconut shrimp was extremely hot and looked more like chicken nuggets. No one at the table knew what the sauce was on the shrimp and there was nothing indicating it was spicy on the menu. I feel like the watress should have mentioned that it was spicy, that is part of the job. They did take the chicken off the bill but I could have gotten a better steak at Applebees for way less, sad but true. This is a steak house so I expected better. I also expected better out of the staff,...
