If you want to go to a bar where the manager Jason cares more about his own bank account than his customers, this is the place for you. From start to finish the service was horrible. When we walked up at 4:30 in the afternoon we were sort of greeted by a girl who couldn’t be bothered because she was more worried about her hair and makeup than she was about actually doing her job. We asked if we could greet a table and at first she said they were full and we could get on a waiting list. About a 3rd of the bar was full and the other part of the seating area was empty. We went in there to watch a basketball game. When we saw a table in a corner that already had the game on, we requested that table. She finally agreed and we were seated. It took us 10 minutes before we finally got someone to come and get us drinks. This place was not busy, so that is still mind blowing. Our waiter was actually kind and we were kind back. He said we were his first customers all day that actually asked him how he was doing and how his day was. Sounds like it is a rough place to work. We got our drinks and we’re enjoying the game. It was halftime and we noticed that the channel got switched. To preface this whole situation, we were in the corner of the bar. No one could see the tv were were watching because it was on a stand on the floor and we were blocking it with our bodies due to how it was set up. We ended up getting a new waiter because of a shift change. We asked him if he could change the channel back and he said no because he had money on the game that was going to be on in 45 minutes. We then asked him to ask his manager to change it back for the 45 minutes until that game started. Seems like a reasonable request for paying customers. Again, this request was for two TVs that were in the corner that no one else was watching but us ( I say 2 TVs because they were synced with the same box). We asked to talked to the manager and he was a complete jerk about the entire thing. Jason, you should be ashamed of how you treat paying customers. You need to stop being worried about your gambling debts and more worried about keeping your customers happy. The request was to keep 2 tvs out of probably 50 or so in the entire place on a channel until your precious game was on. Needles to say, we left and didn’t leave a tip. Yes, I know this is horrible and normally I would never do this, but the waiter was a jerk too. Sounds like the entire place needs a shift in management. Also, we went over to the sports book place that was about 500 feet from the restaurant and there were about 20 people there watching the same game and cheering. No one gave a crap about his local college team playing a game. Long story short, Jason needs to go to some manager classes and learn how to treat...
Read moreOur group of 5 was asking to be Sat and Order. Stephanie, the host and manager said they will not sit a party unless they are all there. I walked around the bar looking for a seat and found a man sitting by himself. I asked him if he was waiting for anyone. He responded that he was waiting for 2 people! I went up to the host and asked why he could be seated and not us. She said because he was on the wait list and told me he was on the the wait-list. I asked if we were on the waitlist then we could be seated, she said YES knowing our party was 5!! So I add my name to the list. There were SEVERAL open tables and we wanted to order for our group. 40 min later we got the text that our table was ready. 2 of us were walking from around the corner and 3 were present. Stephanie refused to seat us again and said it was their policy. She was super rude and I felt discriminated against. It seemed to me that she was rude and judgy for reasons unknown. There was a server next to her that looked very uncomfortable. When I asked Stephanie what her problem was she said we didn't need to dine there. I said "there is a table right there and we to spend our money here". SHE RESPONDED "WE'LL BE FINE". I am beyond shocked that a restaurant would be so incredibly rude and condescending. I will be calling the General Manager.....because apparently she is the manager to my Shock. Odd because the customer service was beyond horrendous. Anyways...moved on and got amazing service from another MGM restaurant. Zoey! You will be...
Read morePros: good selection of beers, decent selection in pub style food. I ordered the steak frites, which was good (the steak was well seasoned and fries where very crispy).
Cons: SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE....to sum it up I sat down at 530 and didn't leave until 8 and it wasn't because of lengthy food orders or drinks. It took me around 20 minutes after being seated to being waited on. After ordering a drink, which also took a rather lengthy time I waited around 30ish minutes for my nachos and another 45 minutes after that for my actual meal. During this time the waitress never checked on my table to refill drinks.
For an appetizer I ordered the pub nachos, which were disappointing to say the least (canned cheese with nachos from a bag and a few jalapenos and top. Also they were cold when they arrived to the table however the waiter never came back to check on our food to express my dissatisfaction).
Price wise I find this place to be over priced for the food and beer that you receive. Cost around $85 for nachos, 1 larger beer 1 16oz beer steak and chicken.
All in all do yourself a favor and visit one of the local restaurants in downtown Springfield. You will receive better food as well as better service for...
