We come to hash house a go go everytime we come to Vegas, and we always bring all our friends, but this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. I don’t know what was happening this morning but to start when we got there we went up and gave them our reservation name and they sent us to the back of the line to wait until we were called (which is pretty much what always happens because it’s a busy restaurant so whatever) but the hostess calls my name, I tell her we’re there (at the back of the line, she’s a good 10 feet in front of us) and then she just walks off. So we go up to the front and everyone in line was asking us if we were supposed to follow her and she acted annoyed that we were confused. We brushed it off thinking maybe the hostess was overwhelmed so whatever it’s fine. Well we sit down, never offered water, we ordered the bloody Mary’s which were awful, we plugged our noses and drank them because they were expensive, they had no garnish on them except for an olive so we thought maybe the waiter had put in for regular blood Mary’s instead of the standard ones which are supposed to have pickled veggies and all sorts of stuff but it came with nothing but the olive. We waited forever for our food, when it came out none of the food had any of the extra stuff on it, the chicken and waffles came out as just 2 dry pieces of chicken on top of waffles, no crunchy onions, nothing. 2 people at our table got spicy chicken sandwiches and they were cold, dry, the chicken had no sauce on it, and the lettuce was old and rotting around the edges. One of our girls sent hers back and walked over to Starbucks to grab something else to eat. The waiter was nice enough, but It seemed like he was the only one doing anything, running to all the tables on a busy Saturday morning. As we were walking out we saw other people getting the same food we had ordered but theirs looked much more appetizing, hot, and fresh than ours. We came here for my husbands 28th birthday breakfast, it’s his favorite restaurant so to say we’re upset would be an understatement. I definitely would suggest going to the one...
Read moreI ordered the chicken and waffles. Let me start by saying I found out I’m not a fan of the plant flavor. They put a plant (I think it’s rosemary but I’m not sure) on top of the chicken to make it look “fancy” well that overpowered the chicken. All I tasted was that plant! The two waffles that are directly under the chicken had that same plant flavor and were half soggy! I put those on a separate plate and didn’t eat them. I didn’t read the description since my waitress highly recommended the chicken and waffles and claimed it was a popular dish. My fault for not reading the description. I was unaware that the waffles had bacon in them and let me tell you, The other two waffles had undercooked bacon pieces in them that also overpowered the flavor of the waffles! I pulled out all the bacon and ate one waffle and half a chicken for $30! As for service, it was empty when I went around 2pm. My waitress never checked up on me after my food was delivered to my table. My waitress did pass by and left the check at my table and walked away. I sat there waiting for 25 minutes for her to come pick up my payment. I finally flagged down another worker that told me I had to pay at the counter (my waitress should have told me that) I asked him for a box and he immediately brought one.( I boxed up the leftovers so that my husband could try them later on that day, which he never did so I ended up, throwing away the whole box of leftovers.) I then got up and walked towards the counter. There was nobody at the register. I waited for about 5 to 8 minutes, then flagged down another employee and asked where the cashier was. She then Went to the back to get someone which took another five minutes or so. Again, the place was completely empty, so there was no excuse as to why service took so long and why I wasn’t waited on properly. I personally wouldn’t try again. It was overpriced...
Read moreWe have been in Vegas for a week and this has been, by far, the worst place we have eaten at. Although, at first glance the food looks delicious (very instagram ready/photogenic, they use large plates, feels like large portions but in reality it's not) I've had better meals at McDonalds (and honestly, it might have been a better deal to just go there than to wait for the disappointing food we had)
I got their chicken sandwich it had one small sprig of romane lettuce (barely covered half the sandwich), half a pickle chip and no condiments on it what so ever. When I asked for mayonnaise or ranch they brought out three fast food packets of Heinz mayonnaise and mustard. This is not normally a huge deal but this is a $21 sandwich that I had to put together myself.
My wife got their grilled cheese with bacon. Even though it said "add bacon" (which one would assume that meant to the sandwich) the bacon came on the side and had zero taste. I have had turkey bacon with more bacon taste. The sandwich was also incredibly dry (again, no condiments and I don't believe it was even cooked in anything more than cooking spray) The cheese had a funny after taste and didn't melt well. It did come with tomato slices on it but they also had no taste and didn't help flavor the sandwich in anyway.
We also got their fruit bowl. It was all basically soggy, as it had sat in its own juice and didn't scream fresh at all. I would venture to guess that most of it was canned (or at least tasted that way)
All this to be said, we will not be returning. It wasn't worth the high price point. The service could have been better, at least more friendly, so we didn't have hesitations about asking for things like condiments on a sandwich. And finally the atmosphere was loud and the chairs and tables were uncomfortable. If I could give negative stars, I would in a couple of categories. Not...
