Mint Indian Bistro on Flamingo is my favorite to go Indian restaurant in Las Vegas. Depending on the convention and events that happens in Las Vegas, this restaurant is crowded. For the quality of Indian food we get elsewhere in Las Vegas, this restaurant is worth the waiting.
One of the strength about this place is service. The kids who work here handle the pressure very elegantly. This place gets really busy and crowded. They handle customers with smiling face. Especially Lupita the waitress, she is very kind, energetic and hears to customers requests with patience and very attentive to customer.
I have been to both buffet in the afternoon and à la carte dinner time too.
Talking about Buffet, the they keep replenishing food so that quality is maintained. Their goat curry is the best, it has south indian flavor when combined with Idli. You will get the feeling of eating back in India. For idli they have sambar and coconut chutney too. For tandoori chicken and vegetable pakoras they have mint chutney. Which is best combination to enjoy. For meat lovers you can request garlic or plain naan for no extra cost, you can savor it with chicken curry, butter chicken, goat curry or simply enjoy with chili chicken and tandoori chicken. For Vegetarian lovers, they offer potato curry, vegetable korma, daal tadka, sambar with white rice.
Dinner à la carte menu they have offer variety of south indian and north indian dishes. For south indian lovers, they have variety of dosas including vegetable uttappam. For who dont like to eat heavy meals in night time, they have simple vegetarian appetizers like samosas and chaats. With a combination of masala tea and samosas or bhel or papdi chaat, you will feel happy. To be honest, I have tasted all their currys from à la carte menu both vegetarian and non vegetarian. All their currys are very flavorful and tasty. Depending on your liking you can request spice level to be from 1 to 10. To really enjoy the flavor of currys I suggest that you request 5 or 6. For adventurous enthusiast you can request for spice level 7+ (warning they are really spicy). Evening dinner menu also includes fried rice and biryanis. Goat or lamb biryani the meat is cooked so tender and biryani flavor is enjoyable. This is not real dum biryani though it is restaurant tadka style biryani. To get real dumb biryani in Las Vegas, I advice visit Divine Dosas next to Encore Casino, they make real dum biryani.
Mint Indian Bistro also have chaas, mango lussi. For hot summer afternoon enjoying a cold chaas or lussi is like heaven.
As I mentioned earlier, this place gets really busy and long waits if you go very late. To avoid crowd, for dinner visit between 6:30 PM to 8 PM. Similarly for lunch buffet visit early by...
Read moreBefore this experience, my only encounter with Indian food was at a buffet, where I tried a little of everything but understood almost nothing. That changed when my friend Vinuta offered to guide me through a proper introduction to Indian cuisine—this time with a focus on vegetarian dishes.
We began our culinary adventure with roti, a large, thin, round cracker served with two dipping sauces. The first was a creamy green chutney, spicy and savory, reminiscent of a Rajkot chutney with peanuts and green chilies—absolutely delicious. The second sauce was a brown, oil-based dip. At first taste, it was surprisingly sweet (not my favorite), but that quickly gave way to a warm, spicy heat that hit the back of my throat in the most pleasant way. This unexpected transition made it my favorite of the two.
Next, we tried Dahi Sev Puri—crunchy, ball-shaped crackers filled with chutneys and yogurt. I wasn’t expecting them to be so hot (temperature-wise), and almost burned my tongue! The interior had a soft, gelatinous texture and was mildly spiced—definitely an interesting dish.
Then came the Gobi Chili—a flavorful fusion of cauliflower, green peppers, onions, Indian spices, soy sauce, and chilis. It was spicy, bold, and absolutely delicious.
After that, we shared a Vada Pav, essentially a spiced mashed potato patty served on a buttered bun with chutneys. It had a great texture and was surprisingly filling.
For our main course, we ordered Paneer Biryani—a spiced crunchy rice dish with vegetables like carrots, green chilis, peas, and cauliflower, cooked in ghee and mixed with paneer, a soft Indian cheese similar in texture to firm tofu. It was served with raita, a cooling yogurt-based sauce that balanced the heat of the biryani beautifully. This combination was rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying.
We even made room for dessert! I was so glad Vinuta indulged my curiosity. We tried Gulab Jamun, soft fried dough balls soaked in rose-flavored syrup. The rose was subtle—just enough to notice without being overpowering. Sweet and comforting. My favorite, though, was the Mango Kulfi, a creamy frozen dessert made with sweet mango pulp and milk. Served on a stick, it was like the perfect Indian popsicle—lusciously smooth and full of tropical flavor.
This meal was a true eye-opener. I'm so grateful to Vinuta for guiding me through it, and I can’t wait to return—next time, to explore the...
Read moreI don’t even know where to start with this restaurant. My family and I visit Indian restaurants anytime and anywhere we travel. When in Vegas we usually dine at Tamba, however, that was temporarily closed so we tried Mint after reviewing some ratings online…. but damn were we fooled.
The first issue- staff was RUDE! In particular there was a lady with tattoos on her arm that claimed to be the “manager”. She was extremely disrespectful to my family when we asked her about the delay in our order. She was loud, used an ugly tone, and carried an attitude- we were all shocked. We waited 20-30 minutes for our entrees. When I called they told me they could accommodate our party of 20 people but that clearly wasn’t the case.
Next, their AC was not working. The room temp was 85 and we asked multiple times if the AC was broken as we had a pregnant member with us who was very uncomfortable. Outside temp- 105
Third, a long thick piece of hair in our goat curry. It was disgusting. You can refer to the picture. We waited 20-30 mins for dinner just to find hair in it. The actual manager who was a nice understanding guy took our order back and didn’t charge us for the goat curry.
Lastly, when dining they brought out jugs of water which I believe is free (as in any other restaurant) and as we were walking out, that same lady with the tattoo tried charging us first $1 and then $3 when my family members asked her for a cup of water.
My family told her on the way out she cannot be disrespectful towards her customers and her response “you are not welcome in our restaurant again”. Jokes on her- we will never return and hope others find this review helpful and don’t visit for such a negative experience.
Brutal!! We wanted to leave after our appetizers but felt bad as we had already placed orders. Do...
