So it was a stormy night snow pouring down and 32 without windchill . There was a 10 mph wind that made it a bit more chilly ! And the cowboys were 4 mins late after 7:30pm . The instructions ask you to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early we arrived approximately 20+ minutes early . We parked in the main parking lot and walked up the stairs closest to the parking area and made a left-hand turn continue walking up the stairs basically the goal is to get out to where the ski lifts are and there’s a large Archway that says “Park city “ . Like many of the other reviews say the Cowboys are awesome they really are! Very nice guys with a sense of humor they definitely made the entire experience. We were lucky enough to get a sleigh with some fun horses ,Bob was our driver and we had to registered Clydesdales powering ping and pong ! The horses were a little spunky and one wasn’t listening from what Bob was saying but it made the ride all that much more fun! After slowly going up the mountain and reaching our Destiination they take multiple breaks on the way up to let the horses rest . After you walk into the building there’s a large area you can take off your winter equipment and hang it up or you can take it with you to your table . When you sit down you will have a bowl a cup and a plate along with silverware and A carafe of water. Staff will soon after come by and ask you if you’d like to order anything else off the special menu of drinks they serve in wide variety of different alcoholic beverages. There is a large amount of apple cider available near the kitchen area they hand out as soon as you walk in . After everybody settles in with their apple cider and drinks are ordered the chef and speaks up and rings the bell and lets everybody know what the plan is. He will explain how everything is going to work and the first thing they do is you walk up with your bowl and pick the chili or the chowder . It did mention there was bread on the menu although the bread came with our dinner not our chili which would’ve been nice to have it with the chili or soup. While you’re in line getting your chili you will come across the chef and let him know whether you’re going to have the prime rib the fish or the chicken or a vegetarian option. After the chili is finished the chef obviously starts cooking right away and when the food is complete once again they will call you up. The entire time there is live music or at least when we were there and they do take requests. The food was pretty good overall I had the chili and the prime rib ,the prime rib came with mashed potatoes that were very good and a mixed vegetable along with a piece of bread. They did have a nice horse radish sauce available for the prime rib . The portion size was decent although I would’ve enjoyed a little bit more of the prime rib due to the expected amount of fat you get with each piece. After dinner is complete they’ll collect all your plates and then bring out a brownie with ice cream the brownie we received was a little bit dry there wasn’t too much soft or moist area to it. The staff overall was nice and very friendly. It seems like they try to group you together with your party and keep you at the same table with whoever you came with. Since we were last tour of the night the Cowboys also got to eat and they sat down and had their dish. Everybody was pretty much well done by the time the Cowboys started eating and when they were done they rang the bell and everybody got back in a sling that they came up in .
The cowboys do take tips!
On the way back down the mountain once again we had some very fun horses who made the ride exhilarating and there was a serious lightning storm that came out of nowhere. after reaching the starting point at the bottom of the mountain near the Park city Archway at the bottom of the payday lift you jump out and go back and...
Read moreWe've been to Park City many times over the years and this was our first time to spend an evening having dinner at the Snowed Inn Sleigh Co. lodge. Our horses, Tug and Sadie, beautiful and majestic, carried us by sleigh on a snowy evening up the mountain to the lodge. Although we were dressed in winter attire it was exceptionally cold that evening and we were given nice warm blankets and a thick sheepskin cover to keep us warm. Once we came into the lodge we were greeted by a roaring fire in the fireplace and a hot cup of delicious cider served in a campfire mug as we were directed to our tables. The staff immediately and expertly tended to our arriving parties and laid out the menu options and serving plan like a well rehearsed operation. The food was really great, we've been on these types excursions before where the atmosphere outshined the food by a mile, but the fare served at the Snowed Inn was delightfully palatable. They served an assortment of hot fresh breads and butter. Then we were given a choice of chowder or chili (Our party had both and they were equally tasty) The main course was a choice of short ribs, prime rib, trout, or chicken.. again members of our party had each so we were able to share / sample each other's plates and it was all really good. Everyone enjoyed their choices and we happily carried our leftovers home to enjoy the next day as well. Dessert was an apple crumble with ice cream to end a perfect meal. There was live western music and a friendly fire to warm us all throughout dinner and the staff took care of everyone very well. The owners took the time to go to each table and check to make sure everyone had everything they needed. Afterward our same team of horses and driver took us back down the mountain and our driver offered to take our photos with the horses as well. It was a great night and we will do this again when we come back to town. Thanks for the...
Read moreIt was such a great experience! We arrived at the plaza just a little late (Google maps tried to take us on a fun little roundabout trip up the mountain using a road only meant for authorized vehicles 😄), but once we got there I realized there were a bunch of stairs leading up to the plaza... I am in a wheelchair, so this obviously posed a bit of a problem and my 2 cousins and I debated how to get up. One of the wonderful gentlemen from Snowed Inn called to see if we would be able to make our 6 o'clock sleigh ride. This gentleman not only told us he would wait for us since we were there in the parking lot, he came down to us and lead us around a back route that didn't have stairs until the last little area that had only a couple. My cousin lifted me out of my wheelchair, but it was icy so she asked if she could hold onto the gentleman's arm to walk the short distance to the sleigh, which he happily helped with. The sleigh ride itself was so enjoyable and beautiful, and our cowboy driver was wonderful as well, very kind and was very knowledgeable about the horses. Once we finished, the first gentlemen helped carry me back to my chair. These awesome men went so far above and beyond to make sure we were able to experience this and were so wonderful to help us the way they did! I absolutely recommend them and want to say thank you again, from 3 gals who would not have been able to do it on our own,...
