We pre booked our sons’ lessons. The process to get him on snow was seamless, from picking up his passes, down the stairs to rentals, and back up to the snow. In all it took maybe 30 minutes (non holiday week). Instructors were at the lesson area to greet us and made my son immediately feel comfortable in a new environment. The lessons themselves were great! My son was independently skiing - from stopping to turning to the beginnings of parallel turns by the end of day four! All in all a great first ski school experience.

Husband did a morning group lesson. His instructor Don was extremely knowledgeable and patient with everyone. He gave great instruction and helped the students feel comfortable enough to take on the slopes. Definitely arrive early to get your rental gear.

Great resort but commenting on the ski school here. Very disappointed with the ski school and will avoid in the future. It is expensive and the value for money is poor.

  1. The lesson cost approx 150-200$ and the instructor asked for a 20% tip at the start of the lesson.
  2. They do not seem to send customers to the most adequate level: I told them that I was an advanced skier and put me with a group of beginners/internediate. The instructor said that if we were above the lesson’s level within 10minutes he would send to upper level. The instructor let me in the lesson - As far as I’m aware the lesson consisted of telling how to put ski shoes on, how to stand on skis, and talking about other hobbies and music concerts etc. after an hour I felt this was wasting my time and I left, to go and ski on double...

This place is the worst, they showed availability online for a lesson but then they email you and say it’s not officially confirmed yet and then take 2 weeks to respond. When I called them multiple times and they said someone will call back I one ever did. Then 2 days before my trip they say too bad we don’t have any lessons for you and I have to cancel my whole trip and have lost hundreds of dollars. DO NOT go to this ski school better off getting your lesson at deer valley and getting a lesson so much nicer over there vs giving these folks your money and dealing with folks that don’t even respond and can’t manage there...

I am 49 and learning to ski for the first time because my husband and kids love it! I booked a half day with Wayne and he was AMAZING!!! He is perfect for an adult learning or trying to improve! He was patient and kind! His instruction was perfect!!! He was encouraging throughout the lesson and pushed me to try things when he knew I was ready! I improved dramatically during my lesson! Perhaps most important was his positivity throughout the lesson that allowed my confidence to grow and my fear to dissipate! I would highly recommend a private...
