My name is Travis Prince, and I am an employee at Colonna's Pizzeria in Parker. At 15 years old not many places are willing to employ you on weekends part-time, in fact its quite a rarity. That said, working at Colonna's under Ralph, the owner, has been nothing but a joy and pleasure. I genuinely enjoy working and spending time here. Not to mention that almost every day, I'm sent home with a free fountain drink and either a Stromboli or pizza to eat at home. My co-workers and I are like family, regardless of our age, religion, or nationality. And Ralph, Ralph is one of the nicest people I have ever met. A personable nature, positive attitude, and a great sense of humor combine to create a perfect boss and role model in the world of entrepreneurship.
As for the food, you won't find better New York styled dishes anywhere, I personally guarantee it. Big Bill's, Anthony's, Giorgio's, Fat Sully's, etc. simply don't compare. As a New York native myself, I know that there's only one way to make New York pizza, the right way. Colonna's pride's itself on not cutting corners with frozen dough or pre-made sauce, we've made it fresh each and every day since we opened. Same goes for our pasta dishes, we only use fresh and high-quality ingredients, then cook them to order. For dessert we've got plentiful varieties of fresh cannoli's and cakes, with the cakes coming straight from our friends at The Cheesecake Factory, a testament to our hunt for the best quality. So sit back, relax, and enjoy a glass of wine or a beer while the kids play on our pizza-themed pinball machine, laugh at the table while devouring a slice of genuine New York pizza, take advantage of our unlimited free refills on fountain drinks, and indulge in a rich dessert to top it all off. Indeed, here at Colonna's we strive to give Parker the finest family pizza joint serving the finest authentic foods.
And no, I was not compensated nor obligated in any way, shape, or form to write this review. I typed this out during an off period at school, and my co-workers and boss don't know about it. I figured an employee's opinion might serve useful to anyone looking for a job. And as for the food, I wanted to share what happens behind that wall to the kitchen. We truly do make things the hard way, and love every minute of it. My hope is that you'll love it too, and consider leaving the Pizza Hut's and Domino's to come on in, say hi, and give our food a try. Mangia!

Read moreThe food is generally good. No complaints about the flavor of anything we previously ordered. These orders included: various pizzas, meatball subs, eggplant, calzone, salads, and desserts for family. We recently moved to this area and have ordered takeout 4 times, and dined in twice. Tonight, against my better judgement due to the appetizers description, we ordered a side/appetizer of meatballs for $8.95 with our pizza takeout order; the on-line description didn't indicate how many meatballs were in an order. I anticipated a minimum of 3 meatballs. When I opened the tin, there were 2 average sided meatballs. I called to verify 2 meatballs for $8.95 was the correct, and was assured the order was 2 meatballs. While they were flavorful, $4.50 for each very, very, average sized meatball was too much. On top of small number of meatballs, the white pizza we ordered was very light on cheese, basil, and tomatoes. Some parts of the pizza was bare. Will I go back? When and if I get over feeling overcharged, I might return. This recent experience, along with the suggested tipping (which I now read from other reviewer's comments does not get divided up between the employees) leaves me perplexed and disappointed. In the meantime, I will order from other Italian restaurants and see what else is available...
Read moreSO DISAPPOINTED. The "garlic bread"...This was literally a roll of bread that cut in half, microwaved with some butter thrown on it and then a few pieces of diced garlic sprinkled all over the box. It did not even taste like garlic bread, it was cold and soggy in the middle but hard around the edges and fully disgusting.
"Crispy coated fries" implies that the fries are, well, crispy. These were soggy, frozen fries that you get from the discount isle at the grocery store. They were not fully cooked, had absolutely no seasoning on them (seriously, not even salt) and were also fully disgusting. If I wanted to bake my own gross fries, I would have done so.
I guess the flavor of the pizza was fine? it wasnt fully covered in cheese or toppings, absolutely was not proportionately distributed. The crust was dry and flakey, and it made us both very, very sick. One should not want to add flavor to a pizza that costs this much. I am extraordinarily disappointed. This place used to be delicious and has seriously tanked in presentation, value for cost, taste/flavor and quality. Will not...
