My wife and I went into Masala Monsoon after we saw that it was finally opened for business - we drove by the former Antonio’s location seeing the “Opening Soon” signs and couldn’t wait to try it out. We were not disappointed; we were greeted by a friendly face after entering, asked what style table we preferred (high-top or standard), seated & given our menus. The choices are all well presented on the menu and easy to read. We made several choices to try to get different tastes.
One of the owners of the new restaurant stopped by our table before we received our food to talk with us, give is a little background on the “why” of the restaurant, answered our questions, and let us know that they were looking for and hoping for any feedback we had about our experience and the food in addition to thanking us for dining with them (this was only their third day being open!). Everyone was very polite and kept checking in on us.
Once our food was brought to the table, Wow! The presentation was beautiful, from how the food actually looked, and the plating of all of our different choices. Everything was hot and fresh. My wife and I are not very experienced in Indian cuisine, which is why we picked many different items - more than we could eat in one sitting - but the staff answered our questions during the ordering process. Man, did we pick well - everything was delicious, and did I say hot also? No cold or warm food here. During our meal another co-owner stopped by our table and mirrored the earlier convo and thanked us coming in.
When we asked for containers to pack up leftovers to take home, we were asked if we were interested in dessert - we were both full. But the young lady described a special to us, so we decided to share it. Again, Wow! It was amazing and we hope that it actually makes it on to the permanent dessert menu.
To close this very long review, my wife and I will be returning to Masala Monsoon - she already wanted to go back...
Read moreMasal Monsoon was my first time trying proper Indian food. It's always something that I've wanted to get into trying, but put off for so long. I am incredibly lucky that my first introduction to this cuisine was at this restaurant.
We were seated quickly, the atmosphere was relaxing, with Indian music playing softly in the background. To drink, I decided to try their "Chai Old Fashioned". If you are a fan of Chai... I can't recommend enough trying it. It was delicious. Very strong, but once the ice melted a little bit, it was perfect.
To eat, I asked for our server's recommendation. She asked what type of protein I was feeling, and we narrowed it down to chicken and goat. We went with the goat, and let me tell you, it was the right choice.
They asked what spice level we wanted each dish, and each one was delivered with the desired spice level. If you visit and are intimidated to try their spicy, don't be! Their spicy was definitely up there, but it wasn't overwhelming at all. After we finished eating, our waitress asked how the food was, and if the level of spice was appropriate for what we asked for.
The goat curry I had was tender, spicy and full of flavor. It came with rice, and I ordered some roti bread to dip in it. Everything worked together beautifully. Portion sizes were great, prices were very good for what we got, and overall - this was the best introduction to Indian food I could've had.
If you wanna try something new - try this place. They're very kind people who make incredible food. What else is...
Read moreMy daughter and I recently had dinner at Masala Monsoon in Parma, and it turned out to be a truly delightful experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warmth by two lovely young women at the front—both incredibly welcoming and kind, which instantly made us feel at ease. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and clean, with tasteful decor and soft Indian music playing in the background that added a beautiful cultural touch without being overwhelming. We ordered Butter Chicken—mild for my daughter and medium for myself—along with garlic naan and mango lassi. Everything was full of flavor, fresh, and satisfying. The butter chicken was creamy and perfectly spiced, the naan was soft with just the right crisp around the edges, and the mango lassi was cool, refreshing, and not too sweet. The service throughout was attentive but never pushy. The two girls who served us checked on us with genuine care and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s not often you find a place with both amazing food and such heartfelt hospitality. We’ll...
