Planned to eat here Sat night. We knew it was going to be busy with Hoco, but were willing to wait a bit. Put our name down for a table of 3 and were told it would be about 15 mins. The seated waiting area was full so we stood in the foyer on the other side of the glass doors. They could still see us and we could hear names being called. After 35 minutes went by (we figured they must have estimated the wait time wrong) someone came out to ask if we were on the list. When we said yes and gave her our name she went back in and checked and sat us right away. When we sat down my husband noticed that several other parties who had come in after us were already seated with their food. When the hostess came back with our waters we asked what happened. She LIED about calling our name 3 times and said they even checked outside several times with no apologies. Remember we could hear every name they called, see them through the glass doors and if they went outside to check they would've had to walk past us. My husband was so angry we left and went across the parking lot to IHOP, were seated immediately, ordered and got our food in the same amount of time we had been standing at Applebee's waiting for a table! As we were leaving I explained to the manager what happened and she promised she'd make it right. She took down my number but never called prompting this review today. I told her I understand mistakes happen and it was a busy night and I'm sure we just got accidentally skipped. My problem is them lying about it, like it was somehow our fault. Very disappointed! We'll probably give them another shot someday, but hopefully by then they can train their employees that owning up to a mistake and apologizing...

The hostess and waitress were very friendly towards us and our kids. They were also quick to take our drink orders. My husband had questions about some of the 'bar' drinks and the waitress was very honest and knowledgeable about every question my husband had regarding drinks lol. I just had a long island iced tea. The other drinks for our order were water, strawberry banana smoothie, and an oreo milkshake. Since we were ready to order our food, she took our order at the same time. All the while with a smile on her face and confirming it was right and making suggestions. We really enjoyed her energy. Our food comes out but, Unfortunately, one of our kids wasn't feeling well all day and wanted to get home. Again, the hostess and waitress helped us right away by providing us with to-go boxes to help us wrap up and leave. I made sure to leave a tip at checkout (but managed to leave my receipt on the middle of the commotion) and thanked them as we walked out to meet my husband and our sick kiddo. Yup, the whole time my teenager was packing up the food, I was paying, my other kid decided to just keep eating lol as my husband is outside trying to make sure our other son doesn't lose the milkshake he had ingested already along with anything else he munched on. My poor husband hadn't even had a bite of his meal. It was short lived but not unusual for us...something usually happens when we try to go out as a family lol That's why this, today, was nothing ๐ We'll definitely be back ๐๐ผThey're our...

If you're thinking about dining at Applebee's, my advice is to steer clear of their Four Cheese Pasta and Chicken Sandwiches. The food quality just doesn't justify the price.
First, the Four Cheese Pasta. This dish is a prime example of why chain restaurants often fail at delivering decent comfort food. The pasta was overcooked and mushy, lacking any texture or bite. The "four cheeses" seemed to be a blend of bland, processed cheeses that barely melted into a sauceโmore like a gloopy, flavorless mess. The dish felt heavy, greasy, and the cheese sauce had an unnatural, overly salty taste. If you're craving a comforting pasta dish, this is definitely not the place to get it.
Then there's the Chicken Sandwichโif you can even call it that. The chicken itself was dry and overcooked, making each bite a struggle to swallow. It seemed like a pre-cooked, frozen patty, thrown onto a sad bun with minimal effort. The toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc.) were basic and unremarkable, and the overall sandwich had little to no seasoning. The bun was flimsy, and the whole thing just felt like an afterthought.
Both dishes were a major letdown in terms of flavor and presentation. For a chain that's supposed to offer a "neighborhood grill" experience, Applebee's fails to deliver on both quality and taste. If youโre looking for a satisfying meal, you're better off skipping these items and finding a place that actually takes pride...
