Today, when I arrived in Pasco, it was the last day before we returned to Canada. I Googled for lunch options but couldn't find a restaurant that appealed to me. Eventually, I decided to go to the Chinese chain restaurant, Panda Express. I had never considered trying Chinese fast food before. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I found it to be spacious and well-lit with plenty of seating. The menu options looked good, and when I checked the prices, I was pleasantly surprised. Two main dishes and one side dish only cost $9.80, making it the cheapest restaurant I've been to on this trip. What I liked most was that I could choose a serving of brown rice and half vegetables as the side dish. Behind the counter, I could see a chef continuously cooking, and when he noticed me taking a photo of him, he waved and smiled at me. I originally planned to get takeout, but since there were plenty of seats, I decided to dine in. The vegetables were fresh and not overcooked, the chicken stir-fry was flavorful, and the beans were crisp. The chicken breast was tender and well-seasoned,The only improvement I could suggest is to make the skin crispier. However, considering the price I paid and the quality of the food, I felt it was a...
Read moreI’ve always had good experiences with this Panda location. I don’t always go here when I want this kind of food, but on occasion I have been known to drive the extra 10 or 15 miles to eat the food here. Last night I received my order and the food was just off for some reason. It seemed old, like maybe it had been sitting for too long. It was later in the evening, kind of close to the end of the night, so this may have been the reason. In any case, I phoned them and spoke to Luis, the manager, and he was very nice and courteous. He had no problem replacing my meal and apologized for the prior one. Luis understands customer service. He wanted to make it right. This is why I continue to eat at Panda, even if a couple times out of 100 times the food won’t be as fresh. I can live with that. Because I know they have good managers like Luis who will understand. And replace those meals with what I know Panda is famous for; great tasting, fresh, fast Asian food. So thank you Panda, and THANK YOU Luis. Good job sir!! You are on your way to becoming whatever u want to become in the food/service industry. It needs young people like you...
Read moreWe ordered Panda Express for our family dinner tonight and chose pickup through the UberEats app. I have been sick with a cold lately and chose the drive-thru for pickup. When I got there, the cashier hassled me for not coming inside saying thats required but still gave me the food. When I get home, I find out the majority of food is missing and it was less than half the order. My wife gives me a list of items missing and I drove back. I headed inside, sick and all, because it's "required" and before I got to the door a very nice employee named Rui asked me if I was the one with half the order (she tried to call but couldn't through Uber). She looked at the receipt and before I could tell her what was missing she offered to replace the whole order. As I wait inside, I can hear another employee literally hassling Rui at why they were remaking the whole order including the few items we received. Such a terrible experience and pointless to use pickup. Especially when paying 20% more and I'm not supposed to use the drive thru? Rui was great though and gets the...
