Bottom line: absolute best food we've had since we moved here and I cannot believe this place wasn't packed on a Saturday night.
Tucked into a shopping plaza over by the Home Depot and Walmart you would not expect such insanely delicious food to come out of Pizza 54. Our family of 5 ordered the arugula salad, 20 wings, the Bronx Sandwich, the hot honey prosciutto pizza, and the doughnuts for dessert.
The arugula salad had a large portion of fresh burrata, loads of prosciutto, roasted red peppers over fresh arugula with balsamic dressing. The presentation was beautiful and would be right at home in an authentic Italian fine dining restaurant, but this was half the price.
The wings were the best I've had since going to college in upstate NY. They're crispy, fresh, and the sauces were perfect. We opted for garlic Parmesan and buffalo. You really cannot make wings much better than these. You'd be splitting hairs. We happened to be there on Saturday where they are 50 cents a piece. I would have happily paid full price.
The Bronx chicken cutlet sandwich was about perfect. My 18 year old said he'll be ordering that everytime and I don't blame him. Get the French fries as well because they're fresh and perfect.
We also ordered the hot honey prosciutto pizza. Never having been there I wish we had ordered a cheese pizza because the crust definitely could pass for a New Haven style pizza as advertised and I would have loved to compare against all the NY pizza and New Haven pizza I've had. But nevertheless the pizza was delicious.
The doughnuts were also very good, kind of like mini beignets.
Having lived all over the Northeast and consistently travel all over the country and world as an airline pilot. I can confidently state that this was the most surprising meal I've had in a very long time. You simply would not expect the quality of food from such a humble looking restaurant in a shopping plaza in PTC.
If you are from up north or miss the flavors of NYC, CT, or New Jersey this is a must visit. I'm not sure we'll eat anywhere else until we try everything they have to offer.
I don't love reading reviews where they mention service unless it's fine dining or very disruptive because most of the time I'm looking for great food and don't care too much about service but everyone in there was lovely, welcoming, and proud of the food they're serving.
Atmosphere I gave 4/5 only because they should be in a more prominent, larger space for the quality of food they're serving.
I cannot believe this place isn't packed every night but do yourselves a favor and go eat there. You...

Read moreWent last night for the first time! WOW! We had it all - appetizers - pizza - desert! We shared 3 appetizers - meatballs, fried mozzarella & the fresh mozzarella/caprese salad. Meatballs were my favorite, but all were delicious. The fried mozzarella was sliced from a roll of cheese (we had never had it served like that). The breading was light and did not overwhelm the creamy cheese. Then we moved on to the speciality pizzas. We ordered the #1(Prosciutto, arugula, roasted peppers, mozzarella with a balsamic glaze) and the #8(Meat Pie -sausage, pepperoni, bacon & meatball) - they were served piping hot and we all loved the light thin New Haven/Connecticut-style crust. Both were great but the Meat Pie was my favorite! You will not find pizza like this anywhere in the area. The pies are loaded with toppings and thin crust will not fill you up with just bread! Make sure you leave some room for desert! We shared the cinnamon-sugar, fried dough bites with both the chocolate & caramel dipping sauce and a slice of Lemon Cake. They were both fantastic, but the fried dough bites were fantastic! We were practically fighting over the last piece. It was a great dining experience. They have a full bar and our service was outstanding. We live in Carrollton, GA and it was well worth the drive to Peachtree City. ...
