Placed an online order today timed for ASAP. Received an email confirmation and then a second email stating the order hadnât been confirmed by the restaurant and asked that I call. Spoke with Evan who stated he saw my order and asked if I had scheduled it for a particular time. I denied having scheduled the order and said it was ordered for asap. He said he did see the order but it was set for 3:26 but that it should âfire right awayâ. At no time did they mention there was no driver or any other issues. An hour later I called back and Evan answered. After stating my name and that the order hadnât arrived he said, âoh yeah, I was waiting to hear from you.â At which point he then said my order had never fired and that he was busy and alone and could offer no other solutions. He also said repeatedly, âI donât know what you did when you ordered but it was wrong.â When asked why he waited for us to call a second time rather than calling us to inform us of the delay on the order, he said he was busy and alone. He then again implied that we made a mistake when placing the order. He also denied stating that he ever said our order would be fired right away. At no point did he offer to have the order made and we could then pick it up and I had to ask for a refund because he only kept insisting that he was alone and too busy to call people back and keep track of if orders had fired. After asking for his name and a manager did he then sound apologetic and offered to have our food made. I asked why he didnât just have the food made when I called the first time and he said because he couldnât do that due to the ordering process. After telling me that he loved his job in efforts to keep me from speaking to someone else, he grew frustrated once more when I explained my own points of frustration and hung up the phone. I donât want anyone to lose their job over this, but if a manager is too busy to keep track of orders, doesnât immediately push through an order after a customer calls and then proceeds to wait another hour for them to call back at which point he blames the customer for the error, then he needs more help on the job⌠or online orders should have just been shut down if itâs that busy on a...
Read moreIâve been to this place fewer than ten times, and while my first few visits were good the experience has gone downhill. Most recently I chose this spot for a family dinner, hoping it would be better this time, but unfortunately, it wasnât. You can usually tell when an employee genuinely cares about the customer experience no matter their role. Unfortunately, that wasnât the case here. The woman who helped us seemed uninterested from the start. For example, I enjoy their bread and oil, so after she brought our drinks, I requested it. Her response was, âOh, you wanted that?â as if it were some kind of secret menu item. In a party of six, the bread was finished quickly and instead of replenishing it, she just took the empty plate away. I had to ask for more, which felt unnecessary especially since the restaurant wasnât busy at all. Speaking of service, we constantly had to wave her down for refills, even though the place was almost empty. In all my visits, Iâve never seen it busy there are always more takeout orders than dine-in customers. As for the food, the pizza was disappointing. It tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. My first visits alone pizza was hot and tasty. I didnât want to ruin the evening by complaining, so I focused on enjoying my familyâs company and decided to write this review afterward. On a positive note their carrot cake and other desserts are fantastic. However, the overall atmosphere needs improvement. Thereâs no bar area, which is a letdown since pizza and good drinks pair well. They do offer beer, but thatâs about it. The space itself is dark, with no music or TVs, which creates a dull vibe. During one of my solo visits, I also noticed employees distracted by personal conversations one young girl was flirting with a coworker and completely forgot about my table. It seems like the staff isnât used to handling dine-in customers, likely because the restaurant isnât busy. This place has potential, but it needs some updates a livelier atmosphere, better-trained staff, and more beverage options could make a...
Read moreConveniently located at Pearland Town Center across from Barnes and Noble is Russoâs. This upscale pizza joint makes everything from scratch and you can watch the pizza being made and pushed into the oven right there when you walk in.
We placed our phone order for pickup and 20 minutes later, I was walking out the door with hot pizza. Everything was clean inside, the staff were all wearing masks, and it wasnât crowded at all.
Hereâs a breakdown of menu items we ordered:
*Fig & Prosciutto Pizza - I love this flavor combination! I was expecting whole pieces of figs, but itâs more like a fig preserve slathered on the pizza crust - which is probably a lot easier to eat than what I was picturing too. It was the perfect blend of sweet and savory. And the arugula on top gave it just a hint of a peppery taste. Iâd definitely get this one again!
*Buffalo Chicken Pizza - This pizza had grilled chicken, Buffalo sauce, ranch, and red onion on top. It had great flavor without being too spicy. The only thing I would improve on this one is if they chopped the chicken in smaller pieces, it wouldnât feel like you got gypped on the amount of chicken on the pizza.
*Garlic Knots - The portion size was awesome! Plenty of knots to share and the marinara dipping sauce was delicious!
*Kids Spaghetti & Meatball - No tough meatballs here! It was moist, flavorful and tender. Great portion size...
