I just wrote this review yesterday (on google), but Im changing my review from 2 stars to one stars. The amount of onions in my coleslaw yesterday gave me such horrible heartburn that I was up all night with so much pain, I had to call out of work today. I doubt ill be returning to PDQ again.
Honestly...I'm very disappointed. I was so excited to try PDQ for the first time ever today. I watched it being built and was intrigued, hoping to soon eat fresh "fast" food. I drove up to the window which was a person. I was excited to see that, thinking it's the first time ever that I spoke with someone directly when ordering food from a fast food place.
I saw that there was blueberry coleslaw. So I ordered that. I also ordered the Cali club. When I received my food, I noticed that the blueberry coleslaw was coleslaw with a few blueberries in top. What? No where on the menu does it describe this side as coleslaw WITH blueberries. I was honestly deceived thinking it was going to be some cool creation of puréed blueberry or a drizzle or something. Honestly I spent money for some blueberries on top of my coleslaw. To top that off the blueberries weren't even fresh! And to top that off there were SOOOOOOO many onions in my coleslaw I almost gagged when I took the first bite. I have never heard of people putting onions in coleslaw before. It was just terrible. The club was okay. Nothing special, the toppings were fresh tho. But what did save this meal were the fries. They were actually really good.
All in all I really hoped to enjoy my experience at PDQ and...
Read moreYes, I am a FAN of PDQ!
What a great place for really fresh food in a short time, at a reasonable price.
First came the fresh lemonade with the ideal balance of sweet and tart. So refreshing!
When I say fresh, that's what I mean. Everything is brought in fresh every day. There is no freezer in this building, and no microwave. You won't see food wilting under heat lamps. It's cooked when you order and delivered to you hot! So hot, in fact that I had to sit and drool over my chicken tenders and fries until they cooled enough to touch. That was a tough assignment!
Was it worth the brief wait? Heck yeah! These are the best tenders anywhere. I've never had them this perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. They had exactly the right amount of tasty, crispy coating. The fries were done to perfection and actually had the exact level of salt for best balance - and that almost never happens.
But the sweet ending couldn't be beat - fresh apple slices with the most delectable toffee dip ever! Forget the apples, just bring me a vat of dip and a spoon. It was brown sugar and butter heaven with just a hint of chocolate.
To cap off the whole experience, the PDQ team was amazing. For a recently opened restaurant, they really had their act together. It was like they'd been working as a group for years! They were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
I'll be looking forward to...
Read moreI’ve gone here every once in a while for years with no problems for years but today was it for me. I went through the drive thru and was told by the young lady at the window if I could give her 1 minute. I said yes of course. After 10 minutes of watching her sit on her phone on the other side of the window, I honked to get her attention and asked her what we are waiting for when she rudely responds “food” I said, “I can’t place my order and at least have my drink while I wait for the food?” And she said “no if you want fresh food you have to wait.” And closed the window. I waited 5 more mins and eventually called the store. Asked to speak to the manager named “Stacey Anne” apparently. I explained to her that I am a customer sitting outside of the window and she interrupts me to not apologize for the inconvenience or provide good customer service but to tell me that they are backed up, short staffed and the girl at the window would not be taking my order until she told her to. I told her that both of them are very rude. If you don’t like your job, get a new one but if your job is in customer service at “people dedicated to quality” then maybe you should act like it. I’ll pass on chicken on Sundays and stick to Chick-fil-A where they know how to treat people that keep their lights on and their...
