Excellent quality of food and presentation. I got excited when I saw $15 for a meat and 2 veggies. I didn't see that certain meats were an upcharge..that print is a little smaller and in a different column...I'm sure I'm not the only person caught unaware. You can see the portion size of my blackened grouper was MAYBE 6oz. The upcharge for blackened grouper was $18!!!!! Just for the grouper. That's dinner menu prices! My total bill was over $33. For lunch And I didn't even have a drink. Had the waiter pointed out that the grouper was the most expensive thing on the lunch menu OR that it was an upcharge I would have changed to the chicken or BBQ that didn't have an upcharge. The grouper was excellent quality and cooked perfectly but needed a lemon wedge or some type of sauce on side. The Brussels were some of the best...if u are vegetarian they have a lot of bacon inside. Mac n chz was baked and nothing spectacular. The cornbread is definitely nothing to rave about . Very small portions for a $33 lunch. Overall I'd go back but check the menu...
Read moreI saw good reviews on this place online so I suggested it when we were looking for someplace to eat tonight. For appetizer, we had the hot chicken. My parents enjoyed it. For entrees, we ordered the meatloaf (2) and the southern chicken. The meatloaf was not what I expected it to be at all, couldnât taste the conecuh that was supposed to be in it. Honestly, everything but the greens had no seasoning and the greens still werenât all that. And when I say everything that includes: the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and the Mac and cheese. The fried chicken would have been 10/10 if it was seasoned, it was hot, fresh and crispy. My father enjoyed his drinks, I donât recall what the first one was that he ordered but the second was the smoked old fashioned. I had the Toasted Marshmallow Espresso Martini and I would not order that again.
Service got 5 stars because our server Hannah P was outstanding.
I included a picture of the CrĂšme BrĂ»lĂ©e or the aftermath of it đ my father gives that an 11/10.
We will not...
Read moreWe had a little time to kill so we decided to go have some appetizers and a beer. This place had an excellent craft beer menu that even included some ciders. Peyton (I believe that was the name of the bar tender) was very friendly and accommodating. He was happy to take the time to tell us about the different brews and even some recommendations for attractions in the area. We ordered a fish taco appetizer to share and a couple of beers. The fish tacos were amazing! There are two restaurants, a cheese bar and a wine and craft beer store all in the same building that are owned by the same company. They apparently have professionally trained chefs on at all times that prepare the items on their menu from scratch and all fresh vegetables and ingredients. Consequently, their menus and techniques change slightly from day-to-day due to availability of ingredients. Overall, I thought this place was excellent. The fresh ingredients and professional chefs really took it over the top!...
