Calling all hungry leos and kitty cats!
Tables, counters, floors, and bathroom are all clean. Utensils and sauces were well organized and stocked. Decor is islander and modest. Restaurant temperature was just right. Clientele is varied. Despite visiting at 11:00 a.m. it was rather busy. Parking lot is a small, a tad difficult to maneuver if you have a larger vehicle.
Staff is friendly, attentive, urgent, and organized. Staff was appropriately dressed, most wearing a uniform.
I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ mix and the spam musubi and their presentation was excellent. Hawaiian BBQ mix comes with chicken thighs, short ribs, thinly sliced beef, cabbage, broccoli, white rice, and macaroni salad. Everything was well seasoned, at an appropriate temperature, and had an appropriate texture. Very delicious and definitely worth the price. If you want to add teriyaki sauce, katsu sauce, or Sriracha, they are all available next to the soda fountain.
On my next visit, I think I'll try the chicken katsu. Tip: the indoor seating area is a bit small and can get crowded quickly, so you might want to get your order to go.
Thank you Leo's, can't wait to...
Read moreSkip that chain Hawaiian BBQ place (you know the one I'm talking about!) and go here instead! They have a larger menu of items, so you get much more of a selection of Hawaiian staples. The food is always fresh and tasty. It's locally, family owned which I LOVE. There's just something about a non chain; it really tastes homemade and authentic. I've never been disappointed when I come here. Their items are just that good and I always have great service here too. They've been open during COVID, without dine in for awhile and now back to it and they take every precaution they can to ease minds and worries. My fave is a BBQ beef and katsu plate with their egg friend rice (so freaking good) and mac salad. Yummy! I also love that they're open at 1030am, because I'm a later breakfast eater and I like to eat non breakfast foods for my first meal, so it's very convenient and works for me. Try them out - I promise you won't want...
Read moreI love this place! Very friendly cashier who took our order eagerly, and the line that was there disappeared fast! Although the wait for the food is a bit longer than most restaurants, the wait is always worth it!
I ordered the Katsu Chicken Combo, after realizing it was a Japaneese dish and not an American dish, I absolutely admire the flavor! The food was hot and fresh and even warmed me up from the coldness outside. Their portions are also really big! My Katsu Chicken was barely able to fit in the box, lol. After eating to my delight, I still had half of the food left, mostly because I ate something beforehand.
Anyways, this place is awesome to eat at! Good for people who enjoy eating sweet and salty or seafood. A bit cozy inside, but really good for those who are cold in the winter times.
(Also, they have...
