👎🏾👎🏾🤮 This Spicy Ramen with Tofu is disgusting!!! No flavor whatsoever. The tofu tasted bland. They must have taken a broccoli 🥦 floret and sliced it to 3 pieces because all I had to eat was the 2 sliced pieces; and there was, literally, 1 sliced sliver of carrot, and no bean sprouts. I wish I lived close enough to take it back tonight. I should have known how the food would be when I walked into the restaurant and it didn't have the aroma of good food cooking. This place was like this many years ago, and I haven't been back until now - I thought that things may have changed because how could have they survived cooking tasteless food? When I called back to request a refund, Chris J. says he could only remake the dish, or offer me a 20% discount 🤔. I asked for the manager's name, and to speak to the manager, but was told the manager may not be back until 11:30 pm and that the manager's name is Chris, but he doesn't know his manager's last name or initial. Notice how dry my dish looks compared to the other posts; and they want me to order that same dish again?!! At this point, I have No Trust in this business. If I don't get my refund within the next 24 hrs, I will be taking this to the next level.

My girlfriend and I was excited to get the Tom Kha. That’s one of her most favorite dishes. It’s pretty much suppose to be Tom Yum with coconut milk. Well, at Bamboo Bistro, it was just coconut milk no Tom Yum paste. I asked for some Tom Yum paste since they had Tom yum on the menu. The cashier guy said no. I asked for fish sauce to add a little bit of umami into my meal. He said they don’t carry it. I got the Thai basil fried rice and that was mushy. The flavors would come out more if the rice wasn’t so over cooked. Also it was suppose to be combination and the cashier guy told me they were out of shrimp. Thank god because if there was shrimp, i might’ve gotten sick. The Thai basil wings were salty like the Dead Sea. I also got the honey glazed chicken entree with fried rice. The garnish broccoli tasted like it was microwaved for 30seconds. The chicken tasted crispy which was good, but the glaze tasted like it was the same glazed as the wings were. Even their fortune cookie was stale. The location has been opened since March, but the company has been around since 2019 supposedly. I don’t know how.

So I ordered the chef’s specials To-go since I saw many reviews recommending them—the Spicy Mt. Fuji Chicken and the Spicy Crispy Jalapeño Chicken. The Mt. Fuji Chicken was drenched in some sweet-and-sour style sauce, making it taste more like chicken nuggets covered in sauce than freshly cooked chicken. The Spicy Crispy Jalapeño Chicken, on the other hand, was basically salt-and-pepper style chicken tossed with onions and jalapeños, but still had the same “frozen chicken nugget” texture. It was not delicious i’m very sad cause this is my dinner and I feel like I wasted my money. I really wanted to like this place because the customer service was great—everyone was friendly and polite, and my to-go order was handled well other than forgetting the chopstick utensils . Unfortunately, the food itself was not good, and the flavors just didn’t feel authentic or satisfying. For the price, I expected much better quality. Hopefully, the restaurant can improve their recipes and ingredients, because the service deserves food that matches the effort.

Absolutely awful experience.

  1. Their menus DO NOT contain prices, so you must ask the cashier how much everything costs prior to ordering, which is idiotic and counterintuitive.

  2. They charge a late night fee for orders placed during after hours, and the cashier chose to NOT TELL ME about this until I had finished deciding and was about to pay.

  3. I receive my food, and instead of being on a plate, the chef assumed that I was ordering take out, so I ended up having to transfer all the contents onto an empty styrofoam tray while I was SITTING IN the restaurant, just so that I could eat what I ordered.

  4. The restaurant had NO SPOONS, so I ended up having to eat my rice with a metal fork.

  5. The food was stale, cold, and flavourless. I don't even consider myself a good cook, and would give my own cooking a 6/10, but the food here was a solid 0/10. The beef and veggies were dry and poorly seasoned, and the sauce was bland and lacking in spiciness.

  6. The restaurant SMELLS BAD; I would describe the smell of the restaurant as similar to a poorly sanitised public toilet after it has been saturated with cleaning solution by a janitor.

A solid $15 down the drain when I struggle to make $18 an hour.

After leaving the restaurant, I needed something extra to make my stomach feel better, so I went to QT and brought some donut balls and an egg roll (yes, I got Asian food from a CONVENIENCE SHOP after dining at an Asian restaurant), and the taste was honestly so much better for only a fraction...

Patron beware. Myself and 3 friends came in at 11pm and were the only customers. It was uncomfortably hot to the point we were sweating before even getting food. Everyone said their food was good, but my Tom Yam soup had an odd flavor and smell to it - almost fishy and/or rotten. Unfortunately, I'm unsure what the dish is supposed to taste like, so hopefully I'm OK tomorrow.

There was a lot of unnecessary confusion around our tickets, how they were split (two ways from two couples), and who got charged for what. I also asked before ordering if "Step 3" which consists of picking your rice or noodles was for both sections of the menu and was told yes. Upon checkout I was charged $2.99 for the fried rice (the menu has it priced at $1.99.) and that it was not a part of the dish I ordered.

There is also a forced gratuity of TWENTY percent after 10pm? I guess it becomes more difficult or expensive to make food after then? Most people are not a fan of when businesses do this, and for me, it always prompts a $0 tip to the server along with no more return visits.

Overall dissatisfied with the visit and food and will not be...
