Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Pflugerville

I love Jersey Mike's and I come pretty frequently and I usually order online for pick up. Not sure I will being doing that again. I arrived early this time and was able to observe everything. I knew the hot sandwich was the hold up so I looked over at the grill and noticed an employee eating out of a Styrofoam food container while in gloves. I was waiting for those gloves to be removed and and hands cleaned prior to returning to the food on the grill but unfortunately that did not happen. I then watched him touch multiple items on the line before I got another employees attention to point it out. No one said anything they Quietly walked over to the employee that was cross contaminating the food who then changed his gloves without washing his hands and went right back to it and No one said anything. I then asked for a refund because I had just witnessed everything and it's gross and guess who the person in charge was. You guessed it the cross contaminater. This location definatly needs some re-education in proper food safety and hand hygiene. The employees were very nice about it but the issue was already witnessed. I asked for a giant turkey and provolone sandwich. Two people came in behind me and ordered the same sandwich that I had ordered. I was going to have it cut in half with modifications made to both halves but was completely rushed by the sandwich maker who was moving way too fast. I had even said to let the other two go first cause mine was going to be modified and take longer. Also anticipating that the four turkey provolone sandwiches were going to get mixed up and that surely ended up happening, as the sandwich maker was making our sandwiches all together as if we were one and the same order. I showed a look of disapproval of the situation as they started to wrap my sandwich up when I was not even done and expressed it verbally. The sandwich maker then just started making excuses and said "we move fast here". As I proceeded to pay I was being charged for two regulars instead of the giant sandwich that I asked for at the beginning of the transaction but the girl who was running the register looked very inexperienced as she looked around for help, I just paid the full price and left. I've had a lot of Jersey Mike's in my time but this was the worst experience and was a guest at...

I LOVE Jersey Mike's. I went to the location next I-35 so often that the staff knew who I was and handed me my orders as soon as I walked in. But I recently moved and now this location is the closest to my new house.

My girlfriend warned me that this location wasn't as great. She had ordered lunch here several times, as it's close to her job. And multiple times she was forced to wait 20+ minutes past the given pickup time. I should have listened to her.

I ordered two sandwiches, each with chips and a drink, for my girlfriend and I. I should have checked the bag, but I was spoiled by the great service of the other location. I drove all the way home only to discover that the bag only had our sandwiches!! It was a massive disappointment.

I still love Jersey Mike's and the way they do their sandwiches, so they still get 2 stars. But if you come to this location, double check to make sure you get everything you order and maybe order earlier...
