I wanted to love this place but everything apart from the food was awful. For starters, they haven’t updated their Google listing to reflect their new address. No big deal since their old location is right up the road.
The service - they didn’t have a hostess or servers that understand that you cannot seat five tables at the same time and expect things to go well. Our server walked back and forth past us FOUR times without asking if we were ready to our order - he was too busy fussing with something outside. It took them over an hour for food for a party of two - way longer than it should have. The servers slammed the kitchen, the servers couldn’t keep up, they messed up our order (brought the wrong side and forgot to bring the sauces), and messed up everyone else’s food around us. If you asked for anything, the servers would forget and you’d be left without whatever it was you asked needed.
The food - delicious! The jäger schnitzel was delicious and so was my bratwurst. The drinks were all bottled, which is fine, except at least give us a better bottled water option than the generic stuff from Sam’s club.
The store - we tried to get some German mayonnaise. We lived in Germany ages ago and haven’t been able to find it anywhere. The owner told the boy up front to go look in the back and get some out of a box. He waited until she walked away and told us they were out and we’d have to come back another time. I explained I live over an hour away and would really like to get it now. He refused to help us.
Overall - I’d wait a few months before visiting their new location to let them hire new, competent staff and...

I never leave reviews but I’m writing this because the experience was so bad.
My mother-in-law wanted to try the Schnitzel Lot tonight for her birthday along with her 91 year-old mother. Mind you, the logistics of moving an elderly grandma, with her walker, is a time consuming endeavor. We all also ate very light today in preparation for great German food; based off of a few online recommendations.
Our waitress was neither friendly nor familiar with the extremely limited menu. She had to check several times on the availability of items, seemed annoyed at our questions and didn’t even know the prices of the beer. They were completely out of schnitzel, knockwurst, and pretzels before 4:45pm. We unfortunately found this out AFTER being seated for at least 20 minutes and several attempts at ordering 8 simple entrees. After the continuous menu availability issues, we ended up canceling our orders and going to Mark’s City Grill.
To top it off, we were charged automatic gratuity for one beer, one sweet tea, and two Sprites because we had eight people in our party. I politely expressed my disappointment to the kid that said he was a manager. While he did apologize a few times, this was a complete waste of time. I would NOT recommend the Schnitzel Lot restaurant nor will ever be going back. We would’ve been better off going to Der Biergarten in ATL.
I doubt that Schnitzel Lot will be open much longer if they can’t even handle the limited menu, on a Saturday afternoon, several weeks after the soft launch. Beyond...
Read moreFinally made it to German Food, Gifts, and More. Late minute decision after car hunting and I was hungry, and tired. And this hit the spot. Can't recommend enough.
Atmosphere: Clean restaurant, definitely German feel. From the store area to the restaurant section. All you see is authentic German goodies, and food. FYI, they have the good smurfs candy. Only con....restaurant area doesn't hold alot of people so be prepared for that. We got last table. So im sure there's a wait at times.
Service: I didn't catch waiter's name but he was amazing. Very consistent, and checked on us often.
Food: was very good...my 1st time here, of course got the Bratwurst. I liked that you had several meat selections to choose from as well as bread choices. I hot the 2 brat and 2 sides meal. And brought some of my sides, and one brat home. Ended up getting extra bread to take home as well. My 2 sides were fries and potatoe salad. Daughter ventured to something different and she made a happy plate. She also got the potatoe soup (side funny, menu says potatoe soup has potatoes 😅). It came hot, so be careful. She ended up taking that home with her cause she was full as well.
Prices: i can't complain about the cost. Worth it in my opinion. Especially knowing they import alot of their product. And we had leftovers for later
Shop: we ended up buying some goodies to take home with us. Again, they have the good smurf candy
Definitely recommend heading across the river to enjoy some delicious...
