I'm so glad Bower is part of the neighborhood. Let me get the info you need here first -- the coffee and espresso drinks are wonderful, made quickly, and delicious. I had a small drip coffee ($2.25), perfect medium dark roast, plenty hot. We also got an iced latte for just over $3.00 (add $1 for alternatives to cow's milk), and it was excellent. The yogurt bowl was rich and had a generous amount of yogurt, a good amount of fresh fruit (berries), and granola with honey drizzle. Very satisfying.
Now, I want to say the duo behind the counter seemed to know everyone who walked in. They were so sweet, kind, uplifting and cared about each customer.    Read moreBower Cafe is an absolute gem in Philly! I stopped by during the holidays and enjoyed their Cinnamon Hot Latte Christmas specialâit was perfectly spiced, creamy, and gave me all the cozy holiday vibes. I paired it with a chocolate croissant that was flaky, buttery, and downright delicious.
The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. They really go above and beyond to make you feel at home.
What truly sets Bower Cafe apart is their private room. Whether youâre hosting a podcast, spinning tracks as a DJ, or holding a meeting, the space is beautifully designed and well-equipped for any creative or professional need.
Highly recommend for the excellent coffee, delicious treats, and warm, inviting atmosphere! This is easily my go-to...

The barista told me that this was done in the orders of the man who signs her paycheck. The excuse doesnât matter much. Itâs discriminatory to kick a person out who just received their coffee, muffin, and receipt.
I hate to speak ill of a barista, but if Starbucks can have some empathy (legal risk minimization) , Bowerâs can, too.
I want to go back, but their socially conscious facade is simply a mask for selective discrimination.
(Edit: it was super shady for the employee to rip away the receipt...
