Absolutely appalling doordash experience. Ordered breakfast before 10am for delivery. About an hour later my driver was replaced. Half hour later, new driver said breakfast hours are over and was told by the store to cancel the order. Called the store and was told by the manager my order was stolen by the first person and āit happens all the timeā. No further compensation. How did I receive a second delivery person if I never reported the order missing or stolen? Did they tell on themselves? I understand when things like this involve multiple companies itās hard to pin down what happened. But as someone in customer service myself Iām disgusted by the āstealing happens all the timeā attitude. I wouldāve driven out there for ANY kind of compensation after this; discounted (lunch) food, even just a free drink to say sorry for the inconvenience. But to say breakfast is over (when the order was confirmed by the store WELL BEFORE lunchtime even with the second dasher) and to pretty much kick rocks after all that was surreal. I forgot the salad at home and wound up eating it on Saturday. I have never had a problem doing this before. The salad itself was still fresh, but there was a little something extra in there. Someoneās hair was in my salad. I had actually eaten a couple bites, but when I went for another, the nuggets were sticking together. I picked up the fork and there was a nuggets literally swinging at the end of this hair. I took my fingers to separate it and was immediately grossed out.
