Where do i start, the hostess and manager amongst a couple other employees were sloppy looking. When we sat down my sister ordered a apple juice it took 20 minutes to get saying it was being made at the bar which I didnt understand WHY APPLE JUICE IS AT THE BAR SMH....THATS JUST THE BEGINNING! Then we ordered 2 of the 2 for 22. One bacon burger NO BACON CRISPERS, bacon ranch quesadilla Again no bacon (which we specified for my cousin who is pregnant) and 2 salads. Fried pickles as the appetizers. Now it took a little mintue to bring out the food but it was ok cause we were waiting for my mother to come anyway. Now when the food comes my cousin quesadilla has bacon on it and my crispers have hair that was CLEARY NOT MY HAIR on it. Call the waiter and then told the manager KIMBERLY. She said no problem I will fix this problem. It took all about 20 minutes to bring the quesadilla back out as it looked cold and not appealing but my cousin is starving by this time and she pregnant not to mention so she ate it. The desserts came out and im Still waiting on my crispers. So i eat the salad cause im starving. I look at the salad and notice my salad is brown đ. So i ask to speak to the manager again. I asked about 3 DIFFERENT WAITER INCLUDING OUR WAITER DEWAYNE(who now is acting a little agitated). 15 Mins later here comes KIMBERLY SHIRT DIRTY AND UNTUCKED, I explained to her that i was not trying to be a pest but my salad is spoiled. She said ok i will take this off the bill.OH NOT TO MENTIONED MY SISTER ORDERED ANOTHER APPLE JUICE THAT TOOK ANOTHER 15 MINS TO COME. By now im starving my crispers come out the fries was fresh my corn was sweet I take a bite out of my crispers out of excitement and it wasnt done smh. My feelings was hurt so i called out for the manager and at this time it was a shift change. So another manager come out by the name Nyesha (sorry I may be a lil off on her name) She greeted me very nice her shirt was neat and approach was Very calming. She asked what was wrong and I explained my crispers were not done. She said ok i will fix this i also asked her you know was it told ro her by the other manager the problems we encountered and was it corrected on the bill she said no KIMBERLY DID NOT TELL HER. SO I WAS. IRKED AND CONFUSED BECAUSE LIKE WHY WOULD SHE JUST LEAVE AND NOT EVEN MAKE SURE THAT SHE ATLEAST FILL THE MANAGER ON DUTY NOW ABOUT A PROBLEM THAT A CUSTOMER WAS HAVING, I work in customer service field I would not leave without MAKING SURE MY CUSTOMER IS SATISFIED OR ATLEAST TAKING CARE OF AND AWARE THAT ANOTHER MANAGER WILL BE COMING IN AND LET THEM KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON SHE JUST LEFT, and let nyesha walk in blinded now I was hungry and frustrated. I just wanted to leave she got my crispers packed in a to go bag and we paid the check. My mom paid the bill and ask for change THE WAITER THEN TOOK UPON HISSELF TO TAKE HIS OWN TIP OUT INSTEAD OF LETTING HER GIVE HIM A TIP HE TOOK IT OUT THE CHANGE SMH. IVE BEEN TO THIS LOCATION BEFORE AND THEY SERVICE AND FOOD WAS FINE BUT AFTER THIS VISIT I WILL NOT...
Read moreThis was the worst "dining" experience I have ever had. I read the reviews prior to going, but didn't listen to them- and I SHOULD HAVE. My friends and I were so excited to go and all attempted to go last night at 7pm. We called ahead around 4 and they said they didn't take reservations and that we would be fine to walk in. We walked in (group of 6) and the host was nice and said that we would probably have about a 25-30 minute wait, then the manager came over and said it would be closer to 45 minutes since they were short staffed. We have all worked in restaurants before and totally understood and were happy to wait, the host and manager said that we could wait at the bar and get a drink until our table was ready. I should preface by saying the restaurant only had a couple of tables, and we saw atleast 4 servers just standing around doing nothing while the host attempted to bus things. We sat at the bar for about 15 minutes before we were offered drinks- even though there were only a handful of other patrons at the bar. Totally cool, we were patient and happy to wait at this time. An hour passes and our table is still not ready, even though the restaurant is mostly cleared out at this time. The manager, host, and servers seemed to be ignoring us as we were trying to ask someone what was going on with out table, and I finally was able to kindly asked the host when we would be able to be sat, even though the dining room was essentially empty and there were still 4 servers- he said it would be about 10 more minutes. No problem, we waited. Once we were sat (8:20pm, we arrived at 6:55) no one came to help us. A party much larger than ours came in about 2 minutes after we had been sat, and they were immediately sat at the table next to us. Ok, we swallowed our pride and waited for the server to came- only she didn't. The server then went to the table that had just came in and been immediately sat, and took their orders, got their drinks, and then took their food orders before she even came over to us. She was coming over to us when we had all finally decided to get up and leave and all she said was "Are you sure? Okay!" I can not give this restaurant worse reviews and have no idea how they're even operating. This is coming from someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for years- we understand being understaffed but this did not seem to be the case. Our group was ignored, the staff did not seem to care and did not seem to be busy, and our experience did not matter to them at all. If I could give this establishment 0 stars, I would. I will never go back and am extremely disappointed, because we love Chili's and were looking forward to our meal. Do not waste your time, listen to...
Read moreHaving worked in restaurants for years, I am typically so understanding and forgiving of short-staffed restaurants and slow service. HOWEVERâthere is a line between poor/slow service, and a staff that seems utterly spiteful and intentionally unhelpful. This Chilis location has severely crossed this line. In a mostly empty dining room with 4 servers, my party of 6 had to wait at the bar for over an hourâwith no one checking in, and the staff actively avoiding eye contact, waves, or approaches to check on our table. We were only sat after we finally asked the host we spoke to when our table would be ready, and 15 minutes later he finally let us sit at a table that had been empty and cleaned for at least a half hour.
As we were sitting, a party of 8 walked in and was seated immediately, directly next to us. Before we were even asked if we wanted waters, that table had their drinks. Half our party left (to be honest, waiting 90 minutes to give a drink order at a CHILIS is a pretty hard blow to oneâs self esteem), and only 10 minutes later did a server finally approach our tableâas we were standing to leave. When we told her we were leaving, she couldnât have looked more excited.
Aside from hosts and waitstaff that goes against every single one of the most basic rules of restaurant service, we repeatedly saw a manager yelling at employees (though evidently not about ensuring their tables were managed in a timely manner), and the drinks we ordered at the bar (which took 15-20 minutes) were the weakest pours I have ever received. As in, I wouldnât be surprised if there was no alcohol in them at all.
It is not an exaggeration to say that this was truly the most abysmal, disrespectful, and horrendous restaurant experience of my life, indicative not just of short-staffing, unenthused workers, or any of the other excuses restaurants push for poor service. This is a managerial, organizational catastrophe. Reviews indicate we are not the first to have experienced this. Restaurant needs to clear house and...
