Darnel's — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Okay so they are not kidding. The breakfast sandwiches are absolutely insane. Legit top tier. Haven't had a better one than these. Cinnamon roll too had a ton of frosting and was warmed to perfection but I was too distracted by how good it looked to get a pic of it while it was still looking presentable. But you can trust me on this for real lol.

Seriously tho the homemade biscuits are worth fighting wars over. I would enlist. I only took the time to get these photos because they were so beautiful that I actually felt bad biting into them. I have never been to the storefront, but I have gotten various things from them several times at the East Falls and Fairmount farmers markets. Their cheesecake bars are absolutely the best bar of any kind I've ever had, I can't even describe them properly to do them justice, but it's insane to me that so few reviewers mentioned them (must be because their sandwiches are THAT good--I will have to go to the shop to try one apparently!). Their focaccia bread is also the fluffiest, spongiest, freshest bread I've tasted, and can easily be eaten plain by itself. Their chocolate cake is perfect--rich chocolate flavor and not too sweet. Soooo...I had the pleasure of meeting Darnel at the Lansdale market this weekend, June 8th. I got got Carrot cake, plain cheese, berry cheese cake and lemon bars. I ate the lemon bar and carrot and all I can say is ..WOW!!. The carrot cake was the old school carrot cake the church ladies made..Delicious!! Lemon bar was tart and sweet..again, Delicious! I will be seeing you again. Family had the cheese cake and they said it was sooo good! Thank you Darnel....
