Happened upon this gem when my father's doctor, whose office is nearby, was running late for his appointment and she recommended we grab some coffee there. I had a delicious oat milk latte and my parents had coffee while we waited and perused the menu board. We knew we would be grabbing a meal after the appointment and the menu looked so appealing we decided we'd come back. We did and we were all very happy with that decision. I had the sundried tomato breakfast panini which came with a big beautiful fruit bowl. My mom had the habanero ham panini called the Spicy Stand Off Panini, and my dad had the Asian Special Panini. We all really enjoyed our sandwiches. Presentation was appealing, the ingredients were fresh and generously portioned, and everything tasted delicious and satisfying. We don't get into the city often but if we do return to the area we'd definitely stop by Torch-Wood again. Everyone was...
Read moreThese people are crooks. They don't want to give you your change back even if it is 5 cents. They act like they forgot about your change. The problem is they do this over and over again. The biggest problem with the people that run this place is that they make up prices for everything that you purchase. Instead of them scanning what you are about to purchase they type in a price that is always much more expensive than it should be. Every corner store market in this neighborhood is dramatically cheaper than this place. For example a yogurt cost 3$ when the corner store Sassafrss 2 blocks away it cost 1$. If you aren't paying attention they will take your change and raise the prices on everything you are buying.. If you go in here request they scan everything. I would just suggest you go to another corner sore in the neighborhood and save yourself the...
Read moreI was treated to lunch and from the menu options I was very excited yet once I got my salad I was definitely disappointed. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and opened my container to see sliced of buffalo lunch meat that wasn't fully separated.....the taste is okay but I would've thought it would've had cuts of pan seared/grilled chicken breast that hold more flavor and juiciness. Idk maybe its just me but paying $15 bucks for a large salad with some lunch meat feels way over priced, 10 would've been better suited....not much labor into cutting chucks of lunch meat and some sliced veggies in a container. If their chicken Cesar salad is the same way then I'm not a fan.
My coworkers panini smelt great though yet it looked like lunch meat as well. Im not a fan of lunch meat but if thats not an issue then definitely check...
