Upon arrival we went to purchase cards to play. We waited at a kiosk for awhile, no one came over so we used the machines. We did our best to understand getting the app & rewards as we made our purchases. Eventually someone came over. He said he wasnt sure himself & we mentioned one of the machines did not give us a receipt. The man nicely called a manager over & she said she couldn't do anything about the rewards and she would have someone help us with the app. Apparently you need to download a new app via a QR code & apparently it's in beta. It's also not available for android devices yet. Well at least one of us has an iOS. They did help us & they did hook us up in another way. We were happy. We did notice however though that they are not good with clearing tables & cleaning up. There was empty glasses, beer bottles, & trash scattered through out the game room. & the bathroom..🤮. Whatever. When we ate lunch we started with a male waiter. He smelled so strongly of alcohol I wasnt sure I was going to be able to eat. Luckily a woman took over. She said he was leaving at 5, yet we saw him there after 6. My nephew was on a first date with a girl. We all had a great meal but the poor girls meatballs were cold & very very hard. We were all done eating by the time the waitress came over again but she did let the girl order something new. After lunch we went to play a few more games. Then we returned to eat some deserts. We got 2 of the cheesecake dips & 1 of the build your own churros. What a disappointment. Both times eating here the service was slow. You order & then no one comes back until your food comes out. Someone else delivers your food & you only happen to see your server if they are at another table or it's time for the check. We waited over 20 min for our deserts until 2 people came over & asked if we got them yet. What?! Seems like they forgot our order? Then a minute later the waitress was bringing something to the table behind us & she said "everything will come out shortly, I just yelled at the kitchen." I thought oh that's cute. Finally our deserts came out, a man with a decent sized beard hovered over our food. We were in disbelief. Then the churros had no cinnamon sugar on them. It came with ice cream but there was only a fork to eat it with because no spoon was brought out. I sat there for a long time before the waitress finally come over & I asked for a spoon for the ice cream and showed her the churros had no cinnamon on them. She asked if I wanted her to take them to the back to have some put on. I said I guess. On her way back she touched her face with the hand she was holding the soon with & I'm positive the spoon went in her hair. And the churros came lightly sprinkled with the cinnamon sugar. It was was not presentable at all. I was really disgusted at this point with so many things. We asked for our check & I asked for the rewards to be put on because you're supposed to get rewards points for money spent on food & games. She told me I was not signed up. Strange because when we ate lunch I asked the same thing & was never told that $90 worth of food/rewards points were not put on the card. Waitress said she can talk to the manager. I asked if I actually could speak with her. Same manager as earlier came by. I thought great she probably thinks I'm crazy. I felt mortified but I felt as if my experience needed to be shared. I didnt complain about everything I wanted to but did show her my churros & that we were never told about the points not being added from previous. My sister in law mentioned the mans beard needed to be covered because it was a little too close for comfort hovering in our food. She gave us our money back for our desert which was great. She even offered to bring me new churros but I wasnt even in the mood. She was great but this experience was not. The place gets zero stars she gets 5. I felt bad for her. Seemed like she was managing the kitchen and the gameroom area. We drove a 1.5hrs to get here. I hope if we return it's a...
Read moreLooking back, I am extremely disappointed and wish I held my event elsewhere. I really hate leaving negative reviews but here it is.
The good: the view in the room was beautiful, the food was decent, and the games were fun. Our event planner was very responsive and helpful through out the planning process and I felt as though he cared about getting everything right
The bad: this was a surprise party for my fiances 40th birthday. I started planning the event 6 months in advance, and nobody had spilled the beans--Until we got to Dave & Busters. When we walked in at the checkin an employee asked my fiance if he was "the birthday boy." He said no. I immediately stood behind him signaling for her to stop and please be quiet. Instead she continued to insist he was the birthday boy and said she had seen photos of him and knew it was him! He looked at me and realized. I was devastated. The employee said she had been told it was NOT a surprise party and never apologized. Instead she proceeded to tell me that he would have realized anyway because there were balloons. I was so infuriated - I had told him we were going to someone else's party! I covered all the angles! And even if he did figure it out on the walk up, it wasn't her place to spoil it. I was so upset I was in tears when we walked in instead of excited. She totally stole that "moment" I had worked so hard to create and I will never get that moment back. It put a damper on the whole night and truly stole a core memory away from me and my fiancé.
When we got there, there was nobody manning the private bar just a few sodas already poured into cups with ice melting. I ended up having to go to the main bar just to get a drink as did many others. There were no table cloths on the table despite my request, the food was already long sitting out despite me asking it not to be out until 7:45 (15 mins after we got there). I had talked about playing our own music but nobody could help me figure out how to play it. I even bought the special connector on Amazon they had requested I buy. The bathrooms were filthy and stunk to high heavens. Getting any service or attention was like pulling teeth.
I raised these issues with my planner immediately after the party and he never even bothered to respond (it has been a week now). Although I feel he truly cared about helping me plan the party, I feel like the day of and afterwards nobody cared at all. They had gotten their money because I paid in advance. For $3,000 I could have done so much more. I truly wish I could go back and start over and go...
Read moreI had a horrible time last night. All we wanted was some drinks and wings and left hungry, thirsty, with feet hurting from standing 3 hours later. The hostess told us it would take 40 minutes to get a table. Almost an hour went by and I asked the hostess with the status of our table was and she said everyone was staying for the fight so another 45 minutes went by then I waited about 20 minutes after the fight thinking that they were cleaning the tables off and then I checked back in with the hostess and she said it will be another half an hour. As we were standing there, the manager walked up to us and said that there was seating near the arcade and that we should try there but then the hostess pulled us before we got to the arcade area and said she had a table for us. We sat at the table that the hostess sat us in and 20 minutes later a server said that she didn’t know that we were sitting there because the hostess didn’t tell her she seated us and she will be right with us. A half hour later, the waitress asked us to sit in another booth, then another 10 minutes later, and the same hostess that seated us, asked us to go sit around the arcade to get served because the kitchen is still open. We get to the arcade area we sit down and one of the servers yelled no no we’re closed. At that point, I was tired, hungry disappointed so we went home and ordered food and I told myself we will never go to that location again. That was a horrible experience. I really thought that they would follow through on their word and actually get us seated at some point and I had a lot of patience and understanding because there was a fight on pay-per-view. Also, we had to pay a cover charge to get in there because of the boxing match going on. However, we never got any food or drinks and we were standing up the whole time waiting for a table and nobody seemed to care, if there wasn’t going to be a table available for the rest of the night that should’ve been told to us upfront so we wouldn’t have...
