Winston On The Water — Restaurant in Philadelphia

During our visit to Winston on the Water, several menu options were unavailable, including the shrimp skewers and margaritas.

The food was okay; however, we had to request silverware and condiments.

The restaurant should provide more options for non-alcoholic drinkers.

The ambience by the water was pleasant and the location is ideal for taking pictures. However, we were informed that a DJ would be present at 6 PM, but upon arrival, we were told the DJ would start at 8 PM.

The staff was friendly when we arrived, but then we felt rushed to pay because our server was ending his shift.

Additionally, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to EVERY purchase, including individual drinks. The same 18% was applied to food and any additional purchase. The gratuity is not mentioned anywhere on the menu and they failed to mention it until I asked. In addition, the tax was very high.

The bathroom sink was filled with water and did not drain properly, which is unacceptable for a restaurant.

I went here this weekend for the first time and the experience was horrible. We ordered drinks from the menu given and when we received our drinks-disgusting! Taste nothing like the description described. When I asked the bartender if it's the correct drink-she pointed out that they are all out of the ingredients for the drink. So, why not ask me what I want instead of mixing nasty drinks? Ok. We go to order food-the fries look like like the grease needed to be changed so imagine what it taste like! To top it off, they didn't give napkins with the food, and had to wait too long at the bar just for napkins! I decided to try the already mixed/frozen drink- $16 for a half a cup of NOTHING- SLUSHY WATER! Are yall ok? I hope management really takes a look at these reviews and improve the service instead of writing an AI generated reply. Take the time out to fix it! Okay, the real scoop!!!

At first I was a little confused about how to get to the actual place. But if you ask the guard in the parking booth, they should be able to guide you!!! -The Atmosphere was great. The view was amazing!!! But the food was horrible. I had a burger with plain chips because they don’t have fries. But the burger was not seasoned at all! It almost tasted like they put it on the grill and took it off. The most flavorful thing on the burger was the red onion. I definitely think this is a great spot to hang out and socialize.
