During our recent visit to Pennsylvania, my partner and I had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic spot that truly exceeded expectations. For a very reasonable price of $59, we enjoyed a delicious spread, including tacos with a side of chili, two burgers with fries, tea, and two waters. One of the standout features was that everything on the menu could be made gluten-free, which was a huge plus for us. The buns on the burgers were especially delicious—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

The atmosphere was just right—not too loud or crowded—creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. The service was top-notch as well. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I’ve been to Race St Cafe many times in the past as it’s one of mine and my partners favorite spots. We love the wings and the sandwiches. And the fries are so good with the aioli. But we usually only go for dinner on the weekends. I was in the Old City area for work this past Tuesday though and decided to stop in for a quick lunch. I walked in and sat at the bar and was greeted immediately by the bartender, her name was later revealed on the receipt as just “AM”. She made the experience so great. I asked for the aioli on the side with my burger and she was genuinely as excited as I was, and said the aioli is delicious. My food came out perfect and was cooked exactly how I asked. She was super attentive but not overbearing and all while taking care of another person at the bar, and about 5 other tables in the restaurant. She appeared to be the only server in the place but pulling it off great.
