Like so many other places, I’ve driven past this restaurant many times and actually never took notice to it until a friend told me about it today so we decided to go on a nice hot summer day. I thought it would be the perfect place to relax we actually found parking on the side street, when we walked in, we were immediately greeted by our host and server. Lance immediately sat us down, Lance is an excellent host and a great server and was there every step of the way for us with suggestions, We decided to go full on vegan, even though my friend is not vegan. She opted in. We ordered the green curry roti, which was amazing. I’ve never had roti bread. This was freshly done to order in the green curry with tofu was a perfect balance of a little sweetness and spicy with tender chunks of tofu in every bite. The next dish we had was the Massaman curry this is Rich creamy and had a nice peanut flavor to it, we polished off both of these dishes and we’re scraping the bottom to get as much sauce as possible. It was so delicious. Another appetizer and on the special menu, we ordered the Thai basil ravioli, which is stuffed with tofu, basil, herbs, and served in a red curry sauce. I’ve never had anything like this. The ravioli was absolutely perfect, tender, not rubbery, filled with tofu, basil, and herbs, and the sauce was just so perfect . I would’ve liked to had some more roti bread clean the rest of the plate with. Main course we had the Khao Soi Vegan This is a traditional dish made with vegan ingredients, wheat noodles top with crispy fried tofu skin, which I’ve never had before, and it was excellent serve in a coconut curry broth. The tofu chunks were done, perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and a tofu skin almost had a little sweetness to it, and they were tied in Bows, the noodles were done perfectly also for a refreshing beverage we ordered a couple of iced limeade, refreshing on such a hot day The restaurant itself is very nice and they had a great selection of music in the background very relaxing our server lands again. I couldn’t say enough about what a great guy we will be back eventually this is an absolute five...
Read moreI do not usually write negative reviews, however, my experience last evening has prompted me to do so. This was our first visit to this location, as we have moved to the neighborhood, and were looking forward to trying the restaurant.
We were promptly greeted and seated and we found the wait staff very pleasant, efficient, and hard working. The management and kitchen, however, were another matter. While our order was taken promptly, we were not served our meal for nearly an HOUR! As we looked around the restaurant, which had a number of tables filled, no one was being served. We did see one couple get up and leave and others began to complain. What appeared to be happening (as I could see in the kitchen) was that there was a large takeout order being prepared. Making so many customers wait for that long without explanation was totally inexcusable! We should have been told when we were seated or when we ordered that the meal would take awhile. We could have made the decision to stay or leave at that time--as one does when there is a wait for a table. Considering the way we were treated on our first visit we will not be returning to this...
Read moreI came to Erawan last year with my brother & SIL after they suggested on coming here. They've been here before, and so I had no complaints. Although I didn't use this, a yelp check in gets you a free app, dessert, or salad if you spend $50.
We came on a late Sunday around 8:30 pm and waited only about 5 mins. The customer service is great as the hostess and waitresses check on you very often. I ordered a Thai Iced tea to start off. Although I love Thai iced Tea and it takes A LOT for me to not like it, this one was okay. It seemed very watered down due to ice or maybe there was ice already in it before. Not sure, but I didn't enjoy it that much. For our entrees, we ordered green curry, Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodles all veggies + tofu.
Green Curry was really great. Seemed a bit watery to me though. The pad thai and drunken noodles were both tasty, but I didn't like their tofu. It was too soft and I like it when they are either fried a bit or crispy. All in all, it was a good meal but don't plan...
