Came across this place on Doordash, rating was 4.5. Started grazing the menu, it was small but I was intrigued by the "soft scrambled egg sandwiches ", I order the 50/50 w/side of fried pickles and the grilled chicken sandwich. My bf orders the Habernero chicken sandwich. The food arrives cold and nasty! Starting with the egg sandwhich, per menu: soft scrambled eggs, bacon, sauce, carmelized onions. The sandwhich that I recieved was a plain HARD(fried) BROWN đ€ąđ€ąđ€źđ€źscrambled eggs with cheese. sandwhich not sold as advertised. Moving on to the triple breaded over fried pickles..... they tasted like they were leftover from the previous day, reheated, and packaged to your liking! đ Don't worry, comes with a nice Sriracha sauce to dip your disappointment in! The icing on the cake was those mmm...mmm....bad chicken sandwhiches. The "grilled chicken" on my sandwhich was dry, overdone, and lacked seasoning. I could not bring myself to take a bite. My bf ate his sandwhich, he will eat anything đ but he did say the chicken patty was the size of a chicken nugget, no sauce and "left a bad taste in his mouth". I'm upset that I waited over an hour to get this, paid $50 and couldn't eat anything! Would rather lick the greasy cardboard packaging, and get the taste of food, than eat the actual food!Got my refund! Will not being making the mistake of ordering from this...
Read moreOrdered a cheesesteak, fried pickles and popcorn chicken. Yes I know this restaurant is probably more known for its egg sandwiches but decided to start with the basics. The steak sandwich was small and dry, in Philly a cheesesteak should be on a steak roll and the roll was no bigger then one I would buy at ShopRite for a lunch meat sandwich for a Saturday lunch and no where near enough cheese which made it dry. The fried pickles were packaged badly in like a pizza store French fry bag so they were all stuck together and so soggy, not even the pickle was still crunchy also there was only 9 or 10 in the order, normally an order of fried pickles comes with a shareable amount⊠the popcorn chicken was also a small order but they were at least still had a little texture to them. The saving grace was that the steak sandwich was still warm Enough that it was steaming but the pickles were cold. I also ordered honey mustard with the popcorn chicken and the house sauce with the pickles, they sent 2 house sauces and that wasnât bad, reminded me of burger kings zesty onion ring sauce but without the zest. Sorry if this is long but I just wanted to give an honest review. I feel like if the restaurant up-ed the quantity and chose better packaging on take out/delivery orders the food would be top notch because the flavor was there just lacking in...
Read moreSo I really, really wanted to like Hatch & Coop but a couple things went wrong with my visit and even after the incredible ending of an ice cream sandwich, I'm still inclined to only give two stars. My first and biggest problem, being not only a consumer but someone who previously worked in food service for many years, is that one of the workers wasn't wearing gloves. Like grabbing bacon, cheese, sandwiches, fries, whatever he wanted with no gloves on, not just momentarily but for the entire duration of our visit. I ordered the sandwich with the cole slaw, an order of fries, and an order of fries pickles. All of the components of the sandwich were seperately delicious, but my bun became so soggy and difficult to eat within seconds of picking it up and I was thrown off by that. The fries were so small and stringy it was hard to consider them fries and not just the bits that come off when you peel a potato. Lastly, I had the fried pickles, which I wanted to like so much but they were WAY too over-battered, literally mostly batter, that I couldn't even finish them. Hatch & Coop's saving grace for me was the ice cream sandwich, literally the best I have ever had and I would definitely stop back for...
