I wish I could give this place MORE than 5-stars! Located near a corner inside Reading Terminal Market, Kamal's is always busy but service is fast! My roommate and I are obsessed with the falafel platter. Considering the location, quantity of food, and quality, it's very reasonably priced. I blame this stall for being one of the reason's I haven't tried more places in RTM-- cause I keep coming back for their entrees and sides! Falafel are well-seasoned, "meaty," and you get about 4-decently sized rounds with the platter. It also comes with delicately smooth hummus (hommus), tabouli (tabouleh for the algorithm), a basic chopped salad, and pita bread. The textures of everything are perfect together! You can also grab a sides like zataar fries which are PACKED with seasoning and fried with firm exteriors and soft interiors. The staff are especially nice. There's one individual that is at the register most often (I believe their name is Hesham according to my order tickets). Every time I go, they are so friendly, welcoming, and very helpful when answering questions from anyone in line or random tourists needing directions. RTM is a hectic place for both staff and patrons, but Kamal's is always very nice to my roommate and me. Once when I visited with my partner, I was raving about how much I enjoy their food and staff without even realizing that another staff member (maybe someone working in the back?) was sitting next to me. He thanked me for my words which was so sweet!

My son and I had a #1 and #2 smoothie. It was very quick. The took orders and starting getting your stuff ready before you got to the register to pay. It was ready when you got there. Very filling and natural

The worst experience ever, the dude running it is so rude, the girl on the cashier is nice but the dude is so rude! I even left him a nice tip and he didn't even include forks there's no arabic speakers there on a restaurant that is supposed to be Mediterranean and the food tastes horrible the chicken pie is like 2 weeks old I do not know how can anyone eat this food. Update replying to your comments I am not your friend! And i did order twice because the meat pie was fresh but when i ordered the rest of the pies only one of them was fresh the rest is stale Yes you offered to give me a fork but in a rude way like i told you my order is for here and you warmed it up but you didn't put any 🍽️ and was asking like you don't need any? Like how am i supposed to eat? Dude come on dont be rude and racist and lie all in the same time. Normally i would have stood up for discrimination but today i had enough, I will never come back to this horrible place again. next time try to be friendly to ppl or go work with AI and machines

Solid middle eastern food.

The place is in the Reading Terminal, and definitely has a presence. A curated menu that packs a lot of food per item. The main draws are the platter options - either the preplanned ones or they have a make your own option.

I ordered half grape leaf/half hummus platter and felt it did the job to satiate my craving. The grape leaves were well packed and you get a good amount of them. The platter also comes with a salad and pita bread that I used for the tabouleh and hummus. The food was good, but a bit foodcourt-y.

They also have a nice list of smoothies that can be ordered, which I found very refreshing for a middle eastern place. I ordered their banana, strawberry, and blueberry option! There's a host of add ons that you can throw in (protein, peanut butter, etc.) but I kept it simple.

The workers were friendly and were able to explain the menu options well. There was hardly any wait to order when we went, and once adding in our order, it was quick and fresh when it came out.

Overall - would likely go for just a smoothie if I came back here, I thought the food was alright enough, but nothing stood out that was...
