One of the worst customer service I’ve ever had with one of the cashier(possibly manager which makes things worse). I ordered burgers with onion rings and I saw that it says fries on the receipt, went back to him and asked to make sure I’m getting onion rings instead and was willing to pay the deficit if necessary. And then he suddenly starts giving me an attitude and telling me I did not tell him onion rings which I clearly know that I did since I just read the order off of my notes on the phone because the order was not just mine. Then I just told him I did but maybe he didn’t hear it, then he starts going off at me telling me I didn’t say it for absolutely no reason and just going back and forth obviously I’m pissed at this point the way he’s talking to me and the way he’s handling this situation. Then he just asks if I wanted the refund and I said no I just want what I ordered since it wasn’t just for myself. And he tells me “I dont have to give you anything” just because I was mad at him for giving me bad service? Then he gave me a receipt and my food came to my seat but it was still the fries and not the onion rings and I was just pissed throughout the whole movie with no appetite. All he literally had to say was “I’m sorry there must’ve been a miscommunication or something” and fix the problem instead of blaming the customer since that’s not my job to apologize when I pay the money and he didn’t double check the order or anything with me. In the end, I couldn’t even focus on the movie and didn’t even get the item I wanted very some bad attitude from their worker. I spent around $80+ on food and tickets to not enjoy a thing because of one worker and also when I went to the cashier to check about my receipt, I went to the person in member’s line first to ask about it since the main line seemed busy and I felt bad bothering them. I was trying to be considerate but was given an attitude in return. I really hope AMC does something about this quality of their service.

Alright, let's dive into the rollercoaster of emotions at the AMC movie theater in the Fashion District of Philadelphia. First things first, let's talk convenience. Taking the high-speed line from South Jersey straight to the Fashion District sounds like a dream come true, right? No need to brave the elements – just hop off at the Eighth and Market stop and voila! You're right where you need to be. The theater itself? Absolutely stunning. Modern amenities, heated reclining seats, and even a handy tray table for your munchies – what's not to love? But here's where the plot thickens. Picture this: a midweek escapade to catch a matinee, only to find yourself besieged by the relentless presence of aggressive homeless individuals at every turn. From the train platform to navigating through the Fashion District, it's a discomforting reality that casts a shadow over the entire experience. And then, just when you think you've made it to the oasis of indoor dining, you're met with a series of perplexing encounters. A couple ahead of you in line, a baffling exchange, and strange looks that leave you scratching your head. When it's finally your turn to order, you're hit with the bombshell – the kitchen won't even start taking orders until after the Friars have warmed up? Talk about a plot twist straight out of a suspense thriller. Undeterred, you resort to placing your order via phone, hoping for a culinary redemption. The verdict? Decent, but certainly not a bargain. Eighty bucks for a burger, an appetizer sampler, a large popcorn, and a couple of sodas – talk about sticker shock! In the end, it's a mixed bag of an experience. The theater dazzles with its amenities, but the surrounding environment and the perplexing dining ordeal leave a bitter aftertaste. Will you be back? Doubtful, at least until the city gets its act together. Here's hoping for a sequel with a happier ending.

Im leaving a review regarding a specific experience . I come here a lot due to being a stubs member and generally have a good experience. However I came to the screen unseen for Skincare I believe it was. I sat down in my seat approx. 5 mins before the 7pm start time. About half the audience had arrived as well. I settled into my seat, reclined the chair, put my stuff safely under the chair, set up the meal i just purchased. All of a sudden a lady burst into the room and starts yelling for all of us to get out. Everyone is a little confused & looking around at each other. This angers her and she starts yelling "didnt yall hear me?! Get the f out whats with you all." The people next to me go, "that's rude." And don't get up. Some people start leaving. I, too, am confused and stay seated as the previews are now gearing up. Another guy comes in to explain that no one had cleaned the theatre and we all need to exit so they can clean it. Well, if the original lady had just said that maybe we would leave!? This is an inconvenience as the movie is 2 mins away from starting, so perhaps this should have already been cleaned. Now we all have to stand outside while the lady is shaking her head and moaning about how WE are the rude ones and we are way too early to see the movie blah blah.

Correct me if I'm wrong it's generally ok to show up on time/5 mins before the 7pm even though it's just previews. I assume someone messed up and didn't clean and now she was taking her frustration out on the customers but that is NOT OK. I took video of her screaming at us the second time cuz i could not believe her behavior and plan to send it to management. She acted like the audience showed up 1 hour early and we were all crazy people.

Anyway we stand outside while the previews are going while she slams everything around and complains under her breath. Meanwhile more people are showing up confused why they can't enter the room. Once she finishes we get let back in.

Overall negative start to what is supposed to be a relaxing experience . If I had other options I probably would have never returned to this theatre again out of fear I would not get the peace and relaxation a movie...

The worst movie experience. TWICE!

I came here one evening with my friend to see Cruella. My friend waited for a while for the bartender to show up and I waited a while to order the food. The bartender didn’t have limes and the concession stand didn’t have the food my friend wanted.

I went again yesterday and that is the last time I’ll be returning there. I waited at the front to scan my ticket because the ticket staff was off helping someone else. Nobody else was in line to scan their tickets.

We arrived early so we hoped to grab a drink at the bar. After waiting around for 5 minutes, my boyfriend asked the ticket scanner staff to find the bartender for us, because she was not behind the bar. When she finally arrived, we proceeded to order and she interrupted us to demand ID. We provided our ID’s and of course she had to ask again for our drink order. She begrudgingly made our drinks, without a mask on and then brushed us off.

The concession stand is really where things went downhill. We waited in line for 15 minutes, when only 3 customers were in front of us. I finally get to the front and they are out of pretzel bites, which was the snack food I really wanted to enjoy. I ordered a few other things and scanned my card. Immediately after, the concession staff said they were out of pretzel bites. So she had to void the sale and start over, but first she read the longgggg list of out-of-stock items to me. After all that, they really only had chicken tenders, popcorn, and mozzarella sticks. Apparently they had an “issue” with the refrigerator the night before. So $60 later and no items I really wanted, we headed to the theater.

I waited 40 minutes for our food to be delivered to my seat! Plus the people sitting next to me were talking, laughing, and recording throughout the whole movie!! So many staff members walked by them and never said anything. It was the most disruptive movie I’ve ever attended!

This was such a bad experience, I couldn’t wait to leave! And I love the movies.

I do not recommend this theater unless you like, unmasked and rude staff, a very limited menu, and constant undesirable commentary throughout your movie.

The seats are...

This Saturday (11/9/19) was my first visit to this AMC. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the projector and it took them 1/2hr. to fix the issue. So when they finally got it fixed they skipped the previews and started the movie. They apologized for the inconvenience and handed out free movie vouchers to everyone at the Dolby Cinema. I understand that it’s new to the area and these little hiccups happen the first few weeks, so it didn’t bother me.

I didn’t order anything for my first Dine-in experience. I just wanted to get a sense of the place. Update: On my second visit to this theater I did order a bacon cheeseburger and fries; it wasn't anything special. I won’t ordering food at lot of the times I’ll visit this theater (I mostly do matinees and eat afterward).

I have to compare this theater to the Neshaminy AMC because it’s the one I frequent the most and before this week the only AMC to have a Dolby Cinema in the area (though it doesn’t have a Prime like this one). Basing this only on the two Dolby Cinemas: The leather chairs are better at the Neshaminy. The seats are wider and the controls to the recliner are digital, found on top of the arm rest, while the AMC Dine-In’s are basic buttons on the side of the arm rest (due to the tray attached to the seat). The chairs in both locations recline just about same. As for screens and sound: Neshaminy takes it again with a wider screen and dynamic sound; It was so-so at the Dine-In.

There are pros of the Dine-In: Every theater has reclined seating. The theater seats fewer people (always a plus). The wait staff weren’t as distracting as I feared they’d be; the food was brought to the attendees prior to the start of the movie. The best part of this AMC is its accessibility. I can hop on the El and be downtown in 20mins. It’s also only a few blocks from work for me; I can choose to take in a movie after work or take off early to catch a matinee (I’ll mostly be doing the latter).

Overall it was a positive experience. I just hope, like the rest of this renovated mall, they...
