Mr. Wish South Philly — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I usually have no problems here, but this one particular employee (girl) was just not it.

April 2nd, around 5:30pm to 6:10pm, my order was supposed to be picked up (lychee sunrise). My boyfriend ordered it through UberEats, and when the driver came to pick it up, the employee told the driver he had to pay for it EVEN THOUGH the order was already paid for through UBEREATS. Because of that, the driver dropped the order so another driver had to come pick it up.

My boyfriend ended up calling the store and the girl kept telling him that the order was not paid for, and she had a huge attitude too. They had argued back and forth and we were worried that the drink wouldn't be fresh anymore since the drink was left alone almost a whole hour! He asked if the drink was already made yet, but she kept avoiding the question so we know that it's already made and just sitting there. The new driver was able to pick it up. Maybe the employee realized she was wrong. Uber drivers are not supposed to pay for the drink because it is already paid for! That was really silly.🙃

We have been coming to Mr. Wish for bubble tea for years and it has always hit the spot. We first swung by after our first date (at nearby Nam Phuong) and since then have always visited whenever we were in the area. They always make our favorites (Oolong Bubble tea with 60% sugar, 3Q, or avocado smoothie) consistently, with excellent service. On super hot days, the Oolong soft serve is amazing, too. Most recently we contacted Tim, the owner, for a special delivery order: our wedding. He went out of his way to sit down with us and make sure he got the order and the delivery details perfectly. Suffice to say, our wedding day happened to be a very warm spring day, and Mr. Wish was an enormous hit. Our guests loved the drinks (Oolong Bubble tea and Lychee black tea with coconut jelly) and every single one was gone by the end of the day. I find myself going here every time when I am having lunch or dinner near by. But every time I purchased my drinks the service is very very very god awfully slow and drinks become disappointing. The flavor becomes water down because after they make it they let it sit there. When they first opened it is great but it fell off big time. I just go there because it is convenient. I am leaving this negative not to make people not go there but for them to fix the problem.

Responding to the owner's comment. I was there last Saturday 5/1/2021 while waiting to eat at Thanh Thanh Pho Ga. I swing on by to get 5 drinks. Dragon Fruit, 2 Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Special Fruit and a Pearl Milk Tea. with tip i paid like 32 dollars and some change. My experience is not gonna stop me from going there, there were many times the drinks turn out really good but i can't say nice things for the service though. I go there like 2-4...
