Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I don’t usually write reviews under restaurants but this was necessary. I needed a new spot to eat it and decided to give Tropical Smoothie a try and oh my God!! First off I want to shout out Yatasha and Taylor because I feel like my food wouldn’t have been good without them. I needed help on deciding what to order and Yatasha recommended the hummus wrap. When I tell yall the taste was so immaculate and flavorful! Literally the best wrap I’ve ever had in the past 40 years of my life. It was almost like they made the food with love and care, it was perfect down to a T! From the presentation of the food, to the portion sizes all the way down to the taste. Dont get me started on their chocolate chip cookie, I’m not sure if they heat it up but the chocolate was melted so perfectly. Literally the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had and that says a lot because I’ve tried a lot of chocolate chip cookies. The scenery was very nice and clean as well. May I add, the quickness at this place was surprising, I was in and out. No complaints here, you guys gained another customer. 10 out of 10 highly recommended this place. Where is the line for 10 minutes because of the staff is very slow then once the employee came to me I was going to order some food but before I even got out my mouth I said we're not doing no more food and I just seen him serve several people in front of me food this is the Cheltenham Philadelphia location very disrespectful and very unprofessional. If you are not serving food and you are an operation that sells food is kind of weird to me if you're just going to make smoothies you need to just make and sell smoothies don't try the food if you're not serving it. Very slow and I have been to the location before I usually order smoothies and other things but I don't think the staff that worked right now at this time 4:17 the last day of the new year. I would give zero stars if I could. I had never been to any of their locations before so I can only speak to this one in Cheltenham.

I ended up bailing on my order due to unsafe mask wearing by both customers and employees. While I was waiting, an employee came in completely unmasked, carrying a mask in her hand, and settled in/clocked in behind the counter without ever putting her mask on. I then saw that one of the smoothie makers was wearing his mask pulled down, barely covering his mouth. Finally, a customer was not wearing a mask at all, stood in the shop the entire time I was there, and none of the employees asked her to put a mask on.
