First let me preface this review with the fact that it was late when we dined there, about an hour before closing.
The service was fabulous. Best service I've had in some time and very professional.
I ordered the Linguini with Clams and my husband ordered Spaghetti Bolognese. Both came with either soup or salad. The soup was good, the salad was very over dressed - the dressing was great, just way too much of it on the salad.
The Spaghetti was good, and the Bolognese sauce was nice and flavorful & a bit spicy. The pasta was more than al dente, but still good.
Unfortunately my dish was not good. There was a very small pile of way over cooked linguini under a very healthy serving of clams. I don't mean the pasta was just a bit over cooked, it was totally mushy & broken into little pieces. I wouldn't serve Linguini in that condition at home even on a week night in a rush!
The clams were swimming in sauce - which I was kind of excited about - I love lots of sauce. But the sauce was bitter. Perhaps from cooking too long, I'm not sure. It was just very sharp and bitter.
My husband wanted to send it back, but the kitchen staff had apparently already left per our waiter.
I ate about half of it - only be aide I was so hungry. And there wasn't really any other option if the cooks were gone.
We were still charged for the dish, which I didn't think was appropriate.

Read moreSurprisingly Spectacular! We've just moved to Phoenix and are finding our way around while trying to navigate speeding traffic and crazy drivers. Our GPS lead us to the restaurant, but we couldn't find it so I called. The owner was gracious enough to talk us through getting there and stayed on the phone with us as we drove! That warm welcome was just the beginning of a truly fine dining experience, as the quality of the food is high. You'd be remiss to skip the spinach or lamb spanikopita, as both are surprisingly fresh, delicious and taste purely of their main ingredient, unlike many versions found in lesser Greek restaurants these days. The entrees were also lovely, and did not disappoint. Lamb is a star player here. However they're offering it, have it! My only suggestion is to balance the wines by the glass list. When one drinks white and the other red, by the glass is the way to go. A stronger, more balanced by the glass program would be a strong compliment to the great food. We will certainly return. Greekfest is now a part of our...
Read moreThis is a ‘Take Out’ only restaurant. They’ve not recovered since Covid. And this in a way detracts from dining here more as it’s a good drive from where I live. I ordered the Ovgolemono soup, and Gyros sandwich. The soup was good: the right amount of broth, rice, and chicken. Only negatives were few: a bit lemony, having a seed in the soup, and a small bone. The Gyros was good. Unique in having feta cheese with thin slices of onion; slices of tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce on a pita. The meat was a bit strange as I felt it was pre-sliced, and not sliced off a spit. No lettuce was requested as I find that an unwanted ingredient. I like a Gyros simple: meat, thin slices of white or sweet onions, slices of tomato, and tzatziki sauce. It would be nicer to have a sit down meal. And view a full service menu. Possibly try some of the desserts as I recall many a Greek pastry or cookie which my mom had made. I hope they turn things around; hire a staff; and hold...
