So my sister and I went to this McDonald’s location here on Glendale to get some lunch yesterday. It wasn’t super busy which was a good thing. There was only one car in drive-through. We placed our order we get to the window and paid we get to the second window to pick up our order And I had ordered a large decaf coffee. They hand us our food and tell us to go ahead and pull up to one of the drive-through pick up lanes and wait there for the coffee to brew… . My sister and I sat there for over 15 minutes and even ate hour lunch and we were still waiting for the coffee. There was a car next to us sitting there waiting as well before we even parked and he finally got out of his car and went inside, he came walking back out with a frappe so I could imagine he was sitting there for 20 minutes if not longer. So finally, I called the store because I don’t think I should have to be running in for my cuppa coffee when it’s already been well over 15 minutes. I talked to someone on the phone that says the coffee is still brewing. It’s gonna take a minute and 30 to brew remember by this time it’s already 15 minutes. So we waited. Nothing came out so I reversed and pulled up to the window and was greeted by one of the workers, and I explained my situation she closed the window, here comes a gentleman by the name of Sammy. He said he was the manager when I asked if he was the manager, and he proceeded to explain to me what the problem was. So I asked him why it’s taking so long and that we’ve been sitting out here waiting for over 15 minutes and he told me that he had to go all the way to the back. I’m assuming the storage room, grab a bag of decaf coffee because they didn’t have any upfront and for some reason, somebody forgot to brew it why he didn’t start brewing it since he got the coffee I don’t know. by this time, I’m a little frustrated because I know it’s lies. He could’ve just said and apologized that they forgot to brew it which she did say after a while that they forgot, but, he said that until after he made it sound like he had to go all the way out the door to the storage shed, which was a couple of miles down you know what I mean? It was just starting to sound like a bunch of BS. So I asked him. What did you have to do? Go run two street lights down to go pick some coffee beans and then run all the way back. Grind it. Go run three street lights down to the water well and get some water for my coffee and then come all the way back and fill up the coffee machine to brew it like what took so long and to make matters worse, there wasn’t anybody in drive-through and the lobby wasn’t packed so that’s what made me even more frustrated. So he did apologize I told him I wanted a refund he was gonna give me a dollar something back. I believe it was $1.53 and then he asked me if I would like a pie and I told him I would like my cup of coffee that I waited almost 20 minutes for by now. So he didn’t have a problem giving me the coffee after giving me my refund but, it’s so ridiculous for a simple cup of coffee and it doesn’t take 20 minutes… very bad customer service … also I had mentioned to him that when people park at those drive-through lanes and wait for their food or drinks, common courtesy would be to go out to the vehicles and explain and apologize why the order is taking so long so that way we as customers know that they didn’t forget about us and that they are working on getting our order out as soon as possible. Come apologize to us and let us know because when we’re sitting there and nobody’s come out yet that makes me feel like they don’t care if we get our orders or not in a timely manner. If somebody knows that the coffee wasn’t being brewed right away or they forgot Frys or something that involves the order going out late, then go to the vehicle and apologize and explain the situation so that we know that would be great customer service at...
Read moreI made a purchase Monday at a different location and it was sent to the wrong location(This) the app page refreshed as I was entering payment and somehow refreshed the location. I called the store to cancel and was told to cancel it on the app. However there was no option to cancel and the app said to call the store. I called again and was told by the female manager they couldn’t cancel because the food was made. They confirmed no one had picked it up. I let them know I could not travel to their location. She was polite and offered the best option she could think of which was they could hold my order for the next few days to allow me time to pick it up, which I declined. I already reordered at the correct location in person. She then passed the phone to another male manager who was the one that told me to cancel on the app. He was very rude in tone since the first phone call. I get it can be a challenging job but I’m a person that needs help and don’t deserve the disrespect I experienced from him. Nevertheless he said for me to call the next day and talk to the GM.
Being sick yesterday I didn’t make the call as I was bed ridden and was able to today. An employee of the branch by the name of Mark answered and I asked if the GM was in. He said he couldn’t give me the schedule information and I explained my situation to which he replied, “Oh yeah I remember you. #1604.” He apparently remembered the conversation but decided to be condescending and reiterated the situation stating “the order was ‘magically’ sent to the wrong store” when in fact it was a glitch within the app. The order is no where to be found on my app in fact. No history to show my recent order that I never picked up. I have never felt so blatantly disrespected.
If he remembered my call and order number, then he remembered me explaining what happened and it didn’t happen “magically”
All I wanted was to buy my children a happy meal and pie as a treat. After losing everything I have and being displaced from our home last month, I finally was able to give them something to put a smile on their face and it should have been a good memory but instead I’ve been treated poorly with such disregard for a mistake that wasn’t even my own.
I will be calling the GM tomorrow to see what can be done about my predicament. However the level of disrespect and unprofessionalism provided by some of the employees of this location needs to...
Read more(further updated review) I was in a hurry and decided to give it another go because I run my life on hope and extra chances. It was a poor choice. Walked in at 7:23 pm to a fairly empty lobby and ordered two happy meals. Nothing crazy in the grand scope of things. It took 23 flipping minutes to fill my order. I sat there as I watched their poor excuse of a work crew scroll on their phones and look completely oblivious as to what it is they are supposed to be doing. My only solace came in the form of the manager. I was unfortunately mistaken as all I got were empty promises and apologies. Sadly, she was happy to stand around and talk to her scrolling coworkers. Seriously guys, what the hell is going on here? Oh...the order was wrong too. (Apologies for the long read) I'm editing my previous review because I've decided to give it another chance. As I pulled up to the drive thru I was met with a glitching menu that stuttered the screen every half second or so. We were going to back out but got blocked in by another car. Somebody eventually popped into the speaker. It was clear that it was broken as well, the person sounded very quiet and robotic. After a minute or so of trying to understand each other we tried to ask if we could just come up to the window and order. The person on the other end didn't like that and decided that all he needed to do was yell into the mic to fix the problem. It didn't fix the problem. After a great deal of back and forth we made it to the window to find out that our order was never put in. The girl at the window took our order in a matter of seconds. I'm sure it comes to not a single person's surprise that upon receiving our order, it was wrong. We got home to realize that they didn't even give us the correct food and what they did give was a mix of overcooked and old stuff. I checked the receipt to be sure I ordered correctly. I did. It was at this point that I also noticed that I was overcharged. Also, the guy at the pick up window was a jerk. Also also, you suck, McDonald's on 28th Ave and Thunderbird. (Previous review) Worst mcdonald's I've ever been to. Staff is generally rude and more interested in chatting amongst themselves than helping customers. The food is subpar as well. On many occasions I have been treated to food that had clearly been sitting around...
