I have been coming to sub Sahara for the past year. It used to be a place. I looked forward to coming to unwind from a stressful week with dealing with children and working however, after my last experience, I will not be returning. I finally was able to get a day off from my children and it meant a lot for me to enjoy my time out and I went somewhere that I knew that I would always have a good time however it looks like there has been a lot of changes since I last went, first off, they tried to set me and my fiancé at a table that should have not been used for customers since it was wiggly as soon as the server put the menu down the table would not stop shaking, so I asked to be seated outside, which it was cold, but there was not sufficient enough tables inside so that was the only option other than the moving table in the other overflow room when I was sat outside, My waitress ended up, giving me an extra drink that I did not order and I did not touch the drink and when the bill came, I asked the server what this drink was for because I did not order it. I didn’t have a chance to address it earlier because my server kept moving fast The server charged me for the drink that I did not order Or drink plus for a tip when I was planning on Paying the tip in the cash, she said that she had no choice but to charge me for the drink, even though I did not touch the drink or order it after asking if I was charged for it, I do not like that they add the tip into your total price. I don’t know when they started doing this however, because of this I will not be back. It was very awkward being charged for a tip or having it added to my bill without my permission We’re charging me for a mistake that the waitress made I wanted to choose how much I tipped my waitress and was not giving that option so I have no idea how much the waitress tipped herself. It could’ve been $30 from my calculation plus a drink that I...
Read moreI have been going to Samsara consistently from the day they opened and have watched it grow over the last 2 years. Starting with the owners, they’ve always been very humble and friendly and always aiming to please the customers. The security is amazing also. Different DJ’s to provide a variety of vibes and music each night. The vibes are always on point and there’s always a diverse crowd so everyone feels welcome. The hookah is great and they offer 3 different types to fit all budgets. I love being able to sit outside especially during Fall & Winter. Summer is hot but they have misters everywhere so this helps tremendously. The food is also very good. I only wish they sold wine regularly…that would be great for when you’re in the mood for chill vibes please!! If you’re looking for a great date night, social time with friends, and Sunday turn up…come here!!!
As far as the service….all the servers are great and hardworking considering how busy it can get at times. MY FAVORITE IS SHANELLE….She is absolutely AMAZING!!! She has been there for as long as I can remember and I always book my tables with her. Even when she’s off she makes sure I’m taken care of with someone else. Her service is absolutely top notch. She’s very attentive and makes sure to check on you often and ensures everyone is happy. She simply goes above and beyond and out of her way every time. Even in high stress moments, she’s smiling! I know when she’s there my experience and service will be great and that means a lot considering how many customers they service. She represents Samsara very well and her customer service is...
Read moreThis place is absolutely trash all the way around. Food=trash, drinks=scam, service= absolutely horrendous. We were in there on 4/18 with a group of three and there were probably five tables occupied. Walked his and the bouncer was sticking his fingers inside my pants and full on grabbed my D. Waited around for roughly 25 minutes at a table and went and asked the host twice for a server and finally one came over. We ordered a hookah, three drinks, humus, and two entrees. The lamb was chewy and barely warm, rice was cold, and the humus never showed up. Drinks finally showed up about half way through our meal and you could not taste tequila or mezcal in any of them, tasted like syrup and water. Not once did the waitress check on us or even bother to ask if we wanted refills on our waters. We informed her that the humus never showed so she went and got that and brought our check at the same time then looked at us all weird when we asked for to go boxes on the humus plate that just came out. After running my card the waitress told me that there was already gratuity on the bill it was 20% for three people and a 4% cash conversion charge for using a card. No where on the menu does it even mention a 20% gratuity, which is 100% a scam if it is not printed on the menu, displayed on a sign, or told in advance, especially for a small party of just three people. I feel the staff knows that they are automatically going to get a 20% tip unbeknownst to the customer so they do the bare minimum. You couldn't pay me enough to recommend this...
