I feel awful giving this location such a low rating, as I've been coming to the old location for years and know most of the old guard by name, but the service has really gone downhill since the move to the drive-thru location. On almost every single visit that falls on a weekday, I wait almost 15 minutes to get to the window, and my drinks still aren't ready. It's even bad on the weekend. Today, there were only three cars in front of me. By the time I got to the window, only one of my drinks was ready. I thought the entire point of the drive-thru system was that the time between ordering and arriving at the window gave the baristas time to make the drinks. The last straw was when my wife and I opened our sandwiches and saw the eggs and sausages practically falling out the bread. Just sloppy all around.
I think this has more to do with all the new staff they had to hire because of the addition of the drive thru. I never have issues when the veterans are working.
But really, the impetus for the low rating really came when I visited the new location at 52nd St. and Broadway. I was waiting in line less than five minutes, and the barista at the window informed me that my drink was free because I waited too long. Seriously? If the Peoria location had to give out free drinks to every customer who waited more than five minutes on a weekday, they would have to close down.
As an update to this review, I tried coming to this particular Starbucks again on Sunday. They neglected to give me a straw, forcing me to park my car and go...
Read moreSo right now i have Tonsillitis and needed Chamomile tea lol. Me and my boyfriend pulled up to the window I told him to tell the woman in the drive thru I wanted Chamomile Tea with lemon and honey. The lady said to us "oh I'm sorry we don't have chamomile tea" And I am not joking with you when I say I was on the verge of tears lol. My throat hurts so bad and I can barely talk, I was about to tell my boyfriend to drive away when what sounded like the voice of an angel say "did you want a tea for someone who is sick?" My eyes immediately sparkled with those words lol. My boyfriend told her yes, and she recommended this hot mint tea and something else, and I immediately nodded my head at my boyfriend. As we get up to the window this pretty girl with glasses and tattoos on her hands and arms handed him my tea and he handed it to me. And she instantly told me "have a good day and I hope you feel better" it was so so so sweet and I wish I had change to tip her. It's not that big of a deal to others but I felt terrible and to have her recommend a drink for me and to tell me to feel better was a step up in customer service and all around being good with people. I didn't get her name but she was on the to go window at around 8 ish this morning. I hope you guys tell her what a good job she did to not just me but maybe other customers as well. I'm not a big Starbucks drinker but after that experience I definitely...
Read moreTHIS STORE DOES NOT DESERVE THE ONE STAR!!!!! I really hate this location; after filing many complaints against this store for the nastiness, unprofessional and rude behaviors. This morning, Friday June 24, 2016 @ 4:21 AM, I've experienced the worst customer service ever! Christy, the store manager is a racist human being who has no supervisory or management skills; this morning I express my concerns with this location selling weak coffee by not brewing a full batch of coffee, this human proceeded to get smart and toss the spoon i requested after purchasing a different type of drink, i requested to speak with the store manager, unfortunately, she states, she was the manager and then denied me the number for the district manager. At the same time, this woman then proceeded to talk to me as if I was a dog and yes, by this time, I'm livid, however, in a non threatening manner. This human threatened to call the police because she's displaying piss poor customer service; at the end of the issue; this liar called the police and had me dismissed from the store. Needless to say, I am a black woman and the racist and prejudice barista/supervisor, Christy is white. I've cancelled my membership with Starbucks as of today and will never patronize this RACIAL AND PREJUDICE BUSINESS EVER AGAIN!!!!! DO NOT VISIT STARBUCKS STORE ON 31ST AVENUE AND PEORIA; CHRISTY IS RACIST AGAINST PEOPLE OF...
