So, today is national cheeseburger day. It’s all over the Internet saying that Wendy’s was selling their junior bacon cheeseburgers for one penny. When I had gone into Wendys today to get that said Junior bacon cheeseburger first, I was told to download the app and get a QR code not a problem had zero issues with that. It only took a few seconds for me to download the app and set up my little account.
You would think everything was good from that point forward no. When I had googled the national cheeseburger day today, sometime around like four in the morning there was nothing there that showed that we had to make a purchase to get said Junior bacon cheeseburger for a penny. So during that time frame up until now I was underneath the impression that all we have to do is download an app and that they how did your scan are there QR code right?
The manager at this particular Wendy’s location was so freaking rude too me when I said well it’s national cheeseburger day and it was advertised at that time frame when I looked it up the jr bacon cheeseburgers were a penny. Also nothing on there states that any of the customers had to download an app. Which again downloading the app wasn’t the big issue. So I’m over here trying to figure out what’s going on and I was a little confused because I never saw anything on Google about that so I was genuinely confused. That woman manager gave me such attitude for no freaking reason. She said oh that’s just what it is with a snarky attitude and stomped off.
First and foremost to that manager on a professional basis, someone who’s also worked food service Someone who also been a manager in food service before you had no rhyme or reason to have a nasty attitude I get it food service is difficult I get it you get rude customers that come up in there. However, I was not rude, disrespectful, or mean too you at all! It’s also on your camera system with how polite I was even though I was annoyed but I was never being rude to you. There were so many customers in there that saw how I was presenting myself. I was not being rude in anyway shape or form however, your attitude was very dismissive, unprofessional, and just downright disgusting just because you chose to be a manager at a fast food place you look very unhappy, ma’am. And that gives you zero validity to take that out on customers who were just inquiring about something that they saw on the internet that was clearly false advertisement. I wouldn’t of had an issue and I would of actually bought something if they manager was not rude too me at all. I did give one of their offices a call or at least another location and I inquired what was advertised and all of a sudden this lady said oh I just got an email from my boss saying that that’s just what it is. Don’t get me wrong. I was very polite to her and I said oh well OK I will no longer be bringing my business here. And considering how rude that manager was the tall skinny older blonde chick looking like she was already geared up to give me attitude when I was being polite too her I will definitely not bring my business there ever again.
Look, we all get it. We all have jobs that we hate. Sometimes we all have jobs were we walk in and we’re just a little bit upset about whatever happened on the outside of the job or inside the job but that’s no reason to take it out on a customer who is done absolutely nothing to you. Do I appreciate the fact for the update yes I do 🙂 what I don’t appreciate is the attitude. I’m not sure if that was just the Phoenix division they didn’t get their system updated right away or whatever but the bad customer service from a manager somebody whos a position and supposed to be the good example to their staff. When this national cheeseburger day hit and to some degree I can understand, however, if that update wasn’t sent out sooner then yeah you’re gonna have some annoyed customers. It wouldn’t of been that big of a deal to me if I hadn’t gotten that nasty attitude from the management team. But from this day forward I wont never eat there again...

It was a clear sky beginning to warm up at the end of Feb 2025 mid day when me and my friend were disembarking on a mission when my stomach began speaking to me. I was concerened as I don't speak gastric but, held it in and knew that google translate would have my back covered. After the last capture of sound by google of the dialect from whom I know as Senior Ghrelin, google let me know that he had said " feed me B!@#$!!". So me and my friend saw and entered the Wendy's close by. The show began... The girl at the counter didn't make a sound to me not to any of my attempts like "Hello" "Hi" and betrer yet not even from my not breaking eye contact with her. Post figuring out she wasn't a talker ,or maybe she was, I knew she was at minimum a master of the art of extreme stoicism. I proceeded and asked for a baconnator against my better judgement. Having been defeated by the counter master I knew victory would be mine should I be able to get that gluttoness marvel inside me and bask in lunch break elation. I go to fill fill my cup when there is a steady banter of a conversation coming from somewhere in the lounge that only had one voice ... No obvious beginning or end to each exchange just a stream of dialogue spoken by one voice after a 3 Frosty binder. I spied the man who was definitely practicing his dark artform of excited dellerium... The counter crew also doing the same as well as the manager. They all did the same an extended stare at this cathartic jukebox as did I. When he stopped for only a moment to bestow his question upon me.... "Do you Speak English?" in a low gritty tone paced to match... I responded kindly "I'm sorry I cant help you right now" thats the first thing that came to mind after my experience with counter girl.... he then lamented something to the affect that "she's been there for 45 mins should I go help her..." I walked away... Moving forward my friend and I sat down to chow and no more than a couple bites in my friends almond eyes go to ping pong ball sizes mid chew and says to me "look..." so I turn to see nothing but my my friend is as quickly as he can trying to finish his mouth watering grub and exxclaims "Shes taking a S@#$!" What the.... I look again and right there on the North side of Peoria ave is a woman not squating but just folded in half pushing what apppeared to be a two day old Wendy's Sod Bomb just off the side walk... I knew then thats what the emotional jukebox was talking about in the lounge.. I couldnt look away driven by morbid curiosity and stared... Next a couple of older ladies said to me and my friend "You are the guys that come here every Friday aren't you... , then she pointing says " we sit over there and you guys sit right there...." baffled I didn't disagree and said back to them 'I put it on my calendar for next Friday 3pm." The whole time all of this glorious city of Phoenix representing action there was a couple of cops watching from the Vitaminn Shoppe adjancent to Wendy's.... my inner dialogue buzzing now in my cranium' with my best Arny voice I said " Wendy's..... I'll be back!" Wendy's corp this location is the epitome of how the rest of your locations should be. Un-friendly staff Loud crack heads left unchecked Zombie walkers bent in half just outside of the resturaunt Cops close by to make sure nothing disturbs this delicate balance of peace in the Wendy's community.
Who cares about the food when you get all these...
Read moreHorrible experience! They refused to give a discount, which I have received from this location many times in the past. When asked if this was a policy change the girl behind the counter simply walked away. I had to get my receipt from the other side of the counter and ask for my drink from another employee as she was too busy chatting in the back. After 20 minutes of waiting for my chicken sandwich, fries and nuggets I walked up to the counter to ask what was taking so long. The same girl walked up and asked if she could get me anything, I informed her about the 20 minute wait and she simply walked away without a word. She then walks up and asks if I want to wait 2 minutes for fries, I ask why the additional wait and am given a response of "do you want fries or not?" As she again walks away. I began to call after her asking for a manager when the manager walked up. It turns out the girl had removed my order from the board, so no one knew about my order. The girl then plops my food onto a tray (if she'd finished my order I would have told her it was to go), when informed it was a to-go order the manager asked the girl to put it in a bag. The girl refused with a "I'm not putting it in a bag for her". The manager insisted so the girl walked over and plops a bag down next to the tray and walks away, leaving me to package my own food. The manager did appologize and package my food. The girl (whom I won't name for her sake) need some additional training in customer service. I know it can be difficult to work in fast-food, but taking it out on a customer is uncalled for. I usually visit about once a week as this location is on my way home from School... I'm not sure Wendy's will be my first...
