We were on winter holidays in Pigeon Forge and would like to have some good seafood there. We found BullFish from our google search and with the reviews and ratings, that seemed like a good place to try out.
Let’s move to the review now. We ordered starters, main course and dessert as well. So all three things we tried. My son got Nashville Hot Sandwich which was good but not as spicy as we were expecting, but that’s what I think Nashville hot spicy level is. I ordered Pistachio Encrusted Trout, which was on ok side, nothing like fancy about it but not bad either, the rice that came with it were good, also the spinach cream was good as well. My daughter got Steak Rice bowl and it was also on ok side. Wifey and little daughter got Seafood Platter and it was good as well. We ordered CRÈME BRULÉE as dessert and it was not good to be honest.
Now you might have noticed that all the food was either ok or good side, nothing great but still I will give them 4 star as none of the dishes has any flaws or mistake or any service issues. It’s just the food on menu was mid. Overall the experience was fair enough, but may be only a one time experience for us.
Pros:
Good Ambiance Friendly Staff Food sizes are nice Food is all on ok side Prices are not crazy No Mandatory Gratuity
Cons:
Dessert is not up to par

Read moreWe were greeted by Elizabeth promptly after being seated. She took our drink order and gave us time to peruse the menu. She returned a few minutes later with fresh bread service and glasses of water. Then, she took our food order of Pistachio Crusted Trout with Broccoli and Baked Potato, as well as Fried Shrimp with loaded potato cracklins. She returned with our Tennessee Tea and Blackberry Lemonades. Elizabeth, always with the authentically kind demeanor, offered more bread as we awaited our meal. The meal arrived as order, and the trout was prepared to perfection. Seasoned with the hint of pistachios in butter on the crust. The baked potato was soft and fluffy and accompanied with the right amount of butter and sour cream. The broccoli was steamed to a tender bright green and offered that light snap of freshness. The 10 fried shrimp were hand breaded and seasoned in a simple salt pepper that allows the shrimp to remain the star. The loaded cracklins were prepared well but might be a bit heavy to accompany the shrimp. This was my choice, though, as the menu recommended French fries. I believe I would choose a baked sweet potato next time. Finally, Elizabeth agreed that the coconut cream pie would be a great dessert choice, and she was right. This was no ordinary slice. The coconut cream pie has a consistency of cheesecake. Decadent, delicious. It paired nicely with the pecan graham cracker crust. I might have enjoyed a cup of coffee with this if earlier in the day, but 7:30 seemed too late to indulge in the coffee-pie combo. Again, the food was great, and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this spot when...
Read moreI came here for lunch with a group of ladies after seeing the great reviews on Yelp. The waiter was pleasant and let us know they only serve fresh meat that is never frozen. The fish is wild caught and never farm raised. He said they have the strictest standards on food preparation in town. He also let us know that if we don't like something, they will fix it because that's how much they care about you enjoying your meal.
I started out with the French onion soup and it was Devine. Gooey cheese and homemade croutons inside the warm bowl! It was divine. Also, they start you out with homemade fresh baked bread and butter. It was fantastic and I had more than one slice!
I was conflicted between ordering the salmon and avocado salad and the filet and blue cheese salad. The waiter told me they are both delicious. I ordered the salmon salad. It came with a more than generous portion of salmon and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The vinaigrette was interesting and delicious. I did not care got the salad and ended up eating just the avocado and salmon which was more than filling. If I came again, i would try the filet and blue cheese salad.
My friend ordered the trout and it came out with a beautiful presentation. However, every single bite she took had so many bones in it. She was constantly having to spit out the bones or take super small bites. It was absolutely inedible. She kindly let the waiter know, and he assured her it was normal. I beg to differ. How can u enjoy something like that?! He ended up taking it back, offering another dish, and taking it off her bill. I felt good that he did that, as it...
